My boyfriend bought us a brand new headboard for $100 at a thrift store. It is $1,200 at Raymour and Flanigan. I hate it, he's not in love with it, but got it because it's so cheap. We've had it for a couple of months. I would rather make a headboard from scratch. We could sell it to someone for a few hundred dollars. He's just such a pack rat that I don't know what to do. I've already got him to throw out an old ugly couch, a futon from college, and a papsan chair. I'm a minimalist, and he's a pack rat. When I organize all his junk, it's turns into a horrible mess again in a week or two. Help!!

hello i need some advice i live in the city of Los Angeles the lanlord just gave all 4 units a 60 days notice to move out but the problem is that he dosent state a cause on the notice i have 2 babies and there 5&3 yrs of age is it possible that i can get what they call relocation money? i have been at this property for 4years i dont think its fair that hes doing this what should i do next?

A case reported in a paper today
A teenage girl aged 17 and her boyfriend aged 30, and three others, two cannot be named for legal reasons tortured a man with learning difficulties, force-fed him with tablets, before marching him to a viaduct. The teenage girl stamped on the mans fingers so he fell to his death. The boyfriend got 25 years for murder and the teenage girl got 10 years on the same charge.The third adult got 8 years, for manslaughter. All three admitted assault, causing actual bodily harm. The judge said you " bullied him to death". The two younger ones were sentenced to ABH, and for further reports. How is this justice? what the hell is wrong with the legal system in this country. These scum, deliberately tortured and killed this poor man in a most heinous way and all the girl got was ten years, i do not understand that this is punishment, she will be out in 7 years or less with good behaviour and her boyfriend maybe in 15.
Where's the justice for him or his family

My name is Lisa I'm 21 years old. I have 3 sisters. I am using my sister's yahoo answer because I never felt the urge to use this site until today.

I turned 21 last week and my mother and father pulled me aside she told me she needed to speak with me. They told me they had something they have been meaning to tell me since I was born but felt they needed to wait until I was 21 to tell me.

My nother told me she was pregnant with me before she married my father. I knew that already. She then went on to say that she had only known my dad 7 months before that got married and that my father that I have known for 21 years was not my father. Apparently my father had left her when she got pregant and 2 months later she met my father and they fell in love. She explained to my father signed the birth certificate knowing it was not his but he wanted to raise me.

this is KILLING ME!!! I have been crying EVERY SINGLE NIGHT I am so angry!!!!! I am so shocked that they kept this from me!

HELP!!

Democracy isn't built overnight.

Especially in a region of the world like Iraq that has never known freedom, it takes time to build a stable government, and bring together all the hostile factions.

Germany had the Nazi "werewolf" movement. There were several years of assassinations, sabotage, etc. And we still have troops in Germany.
And Germany didn't have an insurgency externally generated, by a group like Al Qaida, or neighboring states like Iran and Syria.

We also have troops in Bosnia, Kosovo and elsewhere.

Criticizing elements of the Iraq occupation I can understand, pressuring for more effectiveness, reducing waste, and revising toward a workable plan for success, THAT I can understand.

But those who talk about abandoning Iraq, and just leaving its citizens to be slaughtered, and leaving Iraq to become a hub of terrorism, that I can't understand.

Ok I have posted so much stuff about helping me with my mom but I have a huge problem. Her friend just told my mom that I dragged my brother across a drive way which I did not. I told her I did not I was told to be lieing. So I call my aunt who was there and saw everything (my bro is 4 and freaked out and got mad so I tried to pick him up and he refused too!) and she told my mom I DID NOT drag him at all just pulled his arm. Her friend was the one who lied but that does not matter I am grounded for "lieing" and hurting my brother and she still treats her friend like gold (even though she is teh problem and lier!!) and treats me like s***...what do I have to do about getting my mom to realize everything that is going wrong is alllll her friends fault?? And help me get me ungrounded for something I did not do!
