My oldest child is going to be a HS senior this school year. I'm looking for information on what other parents have done to help their child get ready for that transition in their lives. Everything from banking, to cleaning, to doing laundry, everything that your child needed to learn in order to live on their own--even in a dorm setting. If you have some tips that have helped both you as the parent, and your child as a student, I'd love if it you could share those. If you're a current college student, I'd love to hear how much your parents help you out currently, how you guys handle issues such as spending money, going home, car issues, etc. Or, if you tried something, and it blew up in your face, please share that as well. Thank you in advance from a parent of a class of 2008 student!

Why do muslim women in burkas think they are more respected?

people dont see you as a brain not a females as you where a burka you are non human and alien with no persoanlaity, feelings, expression or any individuality.

There is nothing to tell you from any other. There is no respect its a delusion.

As if without a burka somone found you attractive... well so bleeding what?

it does not mean they think you are dumb or they only see you as a sex object.

males are attracted to females, females to males.

If people are attracted its not just looks but personality too.

Only if not attracted you are just a friend they like and respect.

If somone finds you attractive you are a friend they respect AND would like to be close to and get to know better.

Attraction is just the intial stage in any relationship.

Makes people want to get to know you and if they find you a puritanical cold blooded boring, bullying, bit%%ch then you aint attractive any more.

I remember watching this movie a long time ago with my family. It was animated, and it seemed to be fairly old-- it was in color, but the picture seemed like it was from the early 1990s. I remember the movie had all sort of creatures in it... dinosaur-like, elephants, monkeys. The movie seemed dark/evil when I watched it as a kid, and the underlying message seemed to be something about conserving the earth. This movie sort of reminded me of Fern Gully, but it was different as it had many types of creatures. Also, I remember some big creature dying in the middle of the movie. Please I really need to know what this movie is!! Thanks! :)

You know, its kind of annoying. At first I was a 38D then that was to small, then a 40D that was to small, its gotten far enough now that my mom has to take me to a bra shop for a customized size. Its horrible to have such big breasts, yes I get attention from people(boys) but its not always fun having them. I want to breast feed my babies OF COURSE!! So I should wait to get a surgery, but I dont know if I can, im already getting back pains.

For a 14th birthday party, I'm having a beach bash and bonfire. it will start in the afternoon (2-3-4ish, I haven't decided) and go till' 10pm or so. I am looking for activities to do during the day hours (before dinner). Any ideas for a scavenger hunt list at the beach?? This would be at the end of September/into early October.
Other ideas are appreciated as well.

Wouldn't you think they'd have something more important to do during the work day? I mean, everyone knows liberals are all unemployed and lazy, but what are so many conservatives doing here during the day on a Friday?

If not, then why do you believe that the Bible, written circa the year 100 CE, is 100% accurate when describing things that happened 4000 years prior, like the Creation and the Great Flood, etc?

An elderly man shot a 31-year-old man who he said had robbed him at gunpoint late Friday night in northeast Dallas.

Charlie Andrew Myers III of Dallas was recovering Saturday from gunshot wounds in the throat and shoulder at Baylor University Medical Center.

Amor Kerboua, 79, was driving into the parking lot of his apartment in the 6400 block of Melody Lane, near Northwest Highway and Skillman Street, when a man police identified as Mr. Myers approached him, according to a police report. Mr. Myers put a handgun in Mr. Kerboua's face and demanded money, police said.

Thinking it was a joke, Mr. Kerboua pushed the gun away, but Mr. Myers pointed it at his face again. Mr. Kerboua opened his back door and handed Mr. Myers a cup containing $242.50. Mr. Myers then pointed the gun at Mr. Kerboua's stomach and told him, "I'm going to shoot you, [expletive]," according to the police report.
Mr. Kerboua (79)drew a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun from his front pocket & shot back

This question is sort of complicated, but I will do my best to explain.

The way your voice sounds to you when you speak, and they way your voice sounds when you hear yourself in a recording is different. For me, at least, my voice sounds higher when I talk, but when I listen to my self on my voicemail or on a recording, it is deeper. Therefore, how do you know that you are singing the right notes if the sound you hear and what other people hear is different? I am going to be performing soon and at least to me, when I sing to a song on the radio is sounds right, but how do I make sure? Does that make sense?

Ok, I'm not going to say my age, but I am between the ages 13-18. I ride my bike for two miles at least every other day, most of the time every day. (I got the time down from 12.12 to 9.25!)
Most days I do this ab thing I found on TV, which I think is either intermediate or advanced.
At least twice a week I do this arm thing that I also found on TV, if not more. Intermediate or advanced.
I do at least one exercise from this Kathy Ireland tape thing, but some days I do the whole thing. (it has abs, thighs, and butt.)
I don't know how much I eat, but if I feel hungery, I don't starve myself, I eat a piece of fruit for a snack, then whatever I feel like for meals.
I want to know, am I over obsessing in being healthy? I estimate that I exercise for at least an hour a day if not more, and I relized that I may be overdoing it. I feel good, I'm confident in myself, and I don't push myself to do something that I can't do.

I'm tired of people saying Christians are horrible because we "constantly" say "your going to burn in hell" But I wish people would realize a TRUE Christian would never say that.True Christians dont put down people nor do they force people to believe in God if they choose not to. Sure we invite people, but if its no, we wont push. Dont judge Christians on the immature people who dont have an idea what they are following. Just as i see atheist. Not all of you are horrible as some "Christians" say. There will always be some to put down the other..but not all. theres good and bad in all. Not just Christians, and not just Atheist.

Meows! =^-^=
