I remember watching this movie a long time ago with my family. It was animated, and it seemed to be fairly old-- it was in color, but the picture seemed like it was from the early 1990s. I remember the movie had all sort of creatures in it... dinosaur-like, elephants, monkeys. The movie seemed dark/evil when I watched it as a kid, and the underlying message seemed to be something about conserving the earth. This movie sort of reminded me of Fern Gully, but it was different as it had many types of creatures. Also, I remember some big creature dying in the middle of the movie. Please I really need to know what this movie is!! Thanks! :)

No, it wasnt any of the movies listed so far :( The movie seemed to be more dark and evil, and had a dark picture quality. I didn't mean dinosaurs like that, I meant more along the lines of many fantasy creatures.

Maybe "the land before time". It has lots of animals and its from the early 90's. And it has lots of dinosaurs dying in the middle.

the never ending story was not animated. The last unicorn maybe? I only saw that movie once, but after that never wanted to see it again. It was suprisingly depressing for a children's cartoon movie.
