She is the singer for Concrete Blonde and I feel that she may have been born a male. Can anyone help me out on this? The singing is great and can also be a male voice. And John-ette? Does anyone know if there is anything to prove my suspicions?

So tonight my church is having a New Years Eve thing, and am one of the singers. I love to sing, and am quiet good, so everyone tells me. But everytime I am stage by myself, my knees shake, and so does my voice. Tonight is a big deal for me, and we are expecting well over 100 ppl. Can someone plz tell me something that actually works so that I may bless someone with my song??
Thanks so Much

I am looking for a style of singing that is very "clear" singing
Some example are choir "solos" but without words and in the clarity of "Amy Lee".
The best example I can find is Gabriel Yared's Angel Falls. About 2:00 minutes into the song there is a "angelic" singing voice. What is THAT type of singing called?
(Obviously I want to know who sings like that too).

I have this area of notes in my range in between my lower high notes and my higher high notes that I can hit really well where I crack alot. Are there any exersizes I can do to improve this area?

Also, I can sing very high, and on a good day, I can hit some of the whistle range notes. Not greatly, but ok-ish.

I am in choir and take vocal lessons. I am also in an auditioned choir

In the male category, I'd vote for Rod Stewart. Females -- Mariah hitting the high notes.

I am doing an all county solo this coming month and part of it involves sight reading. does anyone know any good sites where i can print off sight reading music? ((preferably in an alto range and with no skips!))

Also...

any suggestions for becoming a better sight reader?

and...

there is one section in the song that goes rather high in my range and is marked fortissimo. i can barely sing it in tune, let alone that loud! any suggestions for that problem?
