I really would like to get feedback on my singing voice... I know I'm not a great singer, but I really want to sing in public and really don't know if I have the confidence to do so. If its not to much trouble, would you listen and give me an honest opinion? Thank you!!

I used to sing really good and belt when I was younger.. I could hit the notes of Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. I was even Eponine for Les Mis during my senior year. I stopped singing once I got out of high school to focus on college.. Now I cant even sing the easiest notes and I feel like I dont even know how to sing anymore.. Its so tragic and frustrating at the same time.. I tried singing O Holy Night and I cant even belt the easy parts.. What am I doing wrong?

I would really like to sing but I suck at it! I have tried lots of things: relaxing, breathe deep, enjoy myself, etc. etc.
I have considered taking singing lessons but I don't feel very brave.

I've heard myself in a recording singing, I SUCK! but i love to sing and my problem is that 1) I can't sing very high and 2) I'm flat. Are there any vocal things I could do to make my voice better? Anything at all? Like practicing something?! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! And I will not give up! haha.

I sing classics, I love it, like opera and stuffs. I have no trainning in singing at all, purely amateur. Do you think I have a talent to be a singer? Operatic tenor? like Roberto Alagna, Placido Doming, Carreras or Pavarotti? Do you think I should seriously pursue carreer as singer?

I've been in chorus for five years now, and I've always placed very well in county and district competitions and things like that. In march I got bronchitis and couldn't sing at all for a very long time. Once I got better, I still couldn't sing very well.. and I assumed it was just taking my voice a while to get over being sick and stuff. Well, now it's December and I can't sing high notes at ALL. It sounds absolutely terrible when I try to sing high notes, if any sound comes out.. it's seriously a squeak. What's the problem? Have I permanently damaged my singing voice? Is there any remedies to help it or fix it..or is there anyway to fix it at all?? Any help would be great, thanks!

Like for women: alto, soprano, ect and what for men (like tenner, bass, ect). Also what voice suits different genres of music the best (like is it better to be an alto if you sing pop)? How do you find out what your voice range is? Thanks. Sorry if I made any typos. I'm sleepy.

Personally, I think I'm a terrible singer and I could use the help, but I need/want to join the school choir. Are there any tips that I could use to join chorus without a ruddy voice and eventually become pretty good? And since I stink pretty bad, would a singing coach remedy this and help me become the kind of singer I aspire to be? Oh, and I presume I'm a baritone-bass.

Ever since I was a child, I've always wanted to be a singer. Some of my friends and family tell me that I'm a good singer... but that's not the point. Do you have a talent that you wish would be discovered or that you would like to pursue? I want to be a singer/sonwritter/drummer. What about you?

I am a rank rotten, tone deaf but enthusiastic singer! I would love to be able to sing just one song in tune. Is there any chance that could happen e.g. by reading a book, by getting singing lessons or do I really need a miracle? If the impossible were to happen it would be really great if I could sing Bring him home (Les Mis) or She Wears My Ring (Solomon King)

Please help!!!!!!!!

So, just about 2 weeks ago... I finally learned how to do a high metal scream, and it was amazing. It just sorta clicked with me one day, and I could do it. I could do it at will, didn't use a lot of air, didn't hurt my throat. I'm pretty sure I was using my secondary chords, and all was well. Could do it for hours with no pain, loss of range, or difficulty. About a week ago, I came down with walking pneumonia and I was kinda out of commission in the singing world until today. I got my treatment and I'm all better, but now that I've tried screaming again, it's like I forgot how. It's not as powerful as full sounding, and I'm hurting my throat. Apparently screaming isn't like riding a bike. Any ideas why I can't do it anymore, will it be easy to learn again?
