i was looking for a first wedding dance song, and listened to "we've only just begun" and karen carpenter's voice sounds so beautiful. and read about her life and it was just so sad. Does anyone else think its so sad? She died of anorexia, and died recovering with a weight gain of 30 pounds (she was 83 pounds!) and the weigh gain put strain on her weak hart, from the starvaton. its depressing. she was so young (33) and full of talent..a skilled drummer..with such charm..i watched her videos. her ex husband even attended her viewing and threw his ring into her casket!

i am definitely choosing that song. It is common, but very touching.

Well, my real name is Veronica. I want my satage name to be Verotica. I am really feeling that name and I have been already using it. I just don't want it to limit me as to what type of music I can sing and where I could sing and who my audience would be. Do you think the name is more important or the talent. I have a great singing voice and a sexy image, but not trashy. I dance and I really get involved with the audience. my other choice is Varonika. There are too many others using Veronica.

I am a male. My range is fairly low. Say you were looking at keyboard I can sing from the lowest C, to the D after Middle C. So I can sing C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C, D. I obviously can sing the sharps in between too. What is my range?

Basically, I'll usually drink a bit of warm water just before practising singing, and I'll sip during short breaks as well (since I practise with mild air-con as the weather outside is usually too hot). Most of the time it's fine and I can sing and breathe as per normal (diaphragmmatic breathing and singing), but sometimes (not too often, but often enough) when I take deep breaths (quick or slower...again I'm breathing properly), my stomach or abdomen makes this really loud gargling noise, like water being gargled around inside it. It doesn't really affect my breathing per se, but it does get annoying. Sometimes it goes on for the whole practice session, sometimes just occasionally now and then. Why does this happen? Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else has had similar experiences? My stomach usually doesn't gurgle so loudly even when I'm hungry, and it only happens when I sing.

(and yes I do take private vocal lessons)

For men, my vote goes to Nat King Cole. His voice was so perfect and dreamy. For women, Maxine Sullivan or Peggy Lee. And did anyone see Zooey Deschanel sing in Elf? Damn...her voice is perfect and sounds just like those women, she really needs to get a record deal.

Please don't put down some flash-in-the-pan answer like Justin Timberlake or Rhianna or I swear I will &*%#&*$ kill you!;-D

Right - I had a request for a song I was more confident with when I posted my last one. Please rate this one as well.

My mike went a bit whack at the beginning of the ooos, so it sounds weird but corrects itself, and then it cut off at the end and left out a syllable.

Apparently a lot of people sing in the shower. I do once in a while, but that's because I sing to myself throughout the day anyway (crazy as that may be). So... why is the shower such a special "singing place"? How and why did this phenomenon come to be?

I am a frequent cast member at a Theater called 'NarroWay Productions' I am considering audtioning for singing. I have been in every show they have done for 4 years. Only Acting and Dancing though. I have decided that I want to audition for singing roles. I dont really have any experiance like voice lessons or anything but alot of people who are in the 'ensemble'(the people that sing in shows' say I sing well. I really dont want to make a fool of myself by auditioning and sounding like a dying pig.

Any tips or tricks I could use for when auditioning.
