Good for you! :) Well, first off- practice. If you don't sing a lot, then you won't widen your range. Challenge yourself. But don't overdo it. Don't consume many dairy products, and don't drink soda. Trust me on the last one.

But really, practice is key. And if you look confident, they'll never know you messed up! I promise, you'll do great. Have fun with your musical, and god bless you.

BREATHING! People overlook this every-day occurance so much it's not even funny. When you breathe right where you should be breathing from down below...it does wonders!

Breathing and practice are the only sure way to get what you want. Don't push yourself, though. It may become a little painful if you just try to hit them without any other warning. Work down to those notes. Do low scales starting with two or three C's down from the middle one on the piano or something.

With practice and good breathing my range now is that of 1st tenor all the way to 1st soprano. I kid you not.

Good luck and happy holidays!

Well let's see, I'll answer this question to the best of my knowledge, because im personally into screamo music and im trying to learn it so i can be a vocalist in a band. So the best tips i can give from what i've watched and research is to drink warm water cause it loosens your vocal cords. It's all about controling your diaphragm and your cords it controls all the pitches. You have to use 50/50 with your vocal cords and 50/50 with your diaphragm. And kinda puff out your stomach and dont inhale to much just a little but dont let out to much that you have to take a big breath and you dont have to make your voice really low. You feel it all in your chest you have to use it mostly. Or practice singing to all of your favorite songs and get one pitch in your head to work on and work out your cords by going high to low. Hope this helps.

I used to hear this guy practicing (at a college) a *lot*. He would whack a chord on the piano, then yodel a corresponding range, and whack the next chord . . .

Practice, take voice lessons, and drink warm water mixed with honey to help relax your voice. Trust me, it really helps, cuz I'm in choir!
