I am looking for a duet to sing for a Christmas performance. I am looking for something cute and possibly humorous that me (an alto/mezzo) and a man(tenor) can sing as a duet and possibly have children join in on the chorus with us. We are looking for something light and fun. Any suggestions? We are looking for suggestions even if they don't fit perfectly to the criteria... any help would be great.

I was thinking along the lines of Rosie O'Donnell's duet with Gloria Estefan on the song "Gonna Eat for Christmas"
what are some other songs like this that would be appropriate to sing with children?

It seems to just come natural to some people, they can just do it without knowing how they're doing it or any of the theory involved. Me, I can sing a melody just fine but I struggle with harmony. Can it be learned, or is it just a natural talent you either have or you don't???

Me and about 8 friends want to take part in a show...me and another girl playing guitar and the rest singing. We can't think of a good song that's easy to play on an acoustic guitar that we can sing and not sound stupid if we sing as a group. Help please?

i have a nice voice, but it's not phenominal or anything. i want to know what excercises i can do outside of singing lessons (which i take privately) to make my voice stronger, so I can belt, louder, and higher, not to mention lower. I want to improve my range. My voice's strength and volume are particularly suffering!!!

I wanna be a singer! I'm 16 now, and I've been singing since I was 2, and writing since i was 7. But The only people that know i can sing is my best friend and house-hold family! Not even my boyfriend, and we've been together for a year! I think maybe its intimidation of other people and me being scared of what they would think and say! In the song 'Caro Mio Ben', is the "credimi almen" part pronounced as 'cre-di-mial-men' (the mi and al share 1 note) or 'cre-di-al-men' (w/o the 'mi')? I've heard it sung both ways by professionals and I've no idea which is correct. I've to prepare this song for my next lesson and want to at least get the pronunciation right. Also, is 'finisca' sung 'finis-ka' or 'finis-chia' (with a very short 'i' sound)? Again I've heard it done both ways. And no I don't own any singers' pronunciation guide yet. I've barely started lessons - the only reason why I'm learning that song is because I made some really rapid progress in a few lessons.

i'm sick of having to switch to my head voice when i hit the higher notes, but every time i try to hit them in my chest voice i have to strain to get it out.i hit the note but it doesn't sound to pretty, it cracks at times and i think i'm damaging my vocal chords.

what do i do to stop straining when i attempt to hit these notes?

I want to sing, but my voice is not the greatest (but certainly not the worst). The type of sing I want to do is something girls don't often get into- there is some shouting a rough vocals involved. (I can't think of any examples right now- maybe you have some?)
But the request here is; Do you have any tips for singing like a boy? Not 'deepen your voice' type of tips, but how to sing more like a guy sings. Answering this might take a little imagination, but I'm sure there are a few people out there with the answers!
Also, tips to widen my vocal range would be nice. Unless that's impossible, then just ignore the silly question. And please don't suggest a vocal coach or voice lessons- frankly, they aren't in the budget, and there are very few where I live at the moment.
