When you practice, make sure you are not singing from your throat but from your diaphram. (Your diaphram is about a hand span up from your belly button)
Press on your diaphram when you sing to make it more difficult.
Lie down and sing (It really helps improve the strength of your voice)
practice your scales but as you get higher, try and sing a little louder.

No there is nothing that you can eat or dring that can help "improve" your voice. The best thing that you can do is work on your breathing and practice alot. The vocal cords are muscles that need to be worked out properly just like muscles for running or lifting. So you want to make sure that you are using your muscle properly. Breathing should be in the belly not the chest. When you inhale your belly should expand and your shoulders and chest should not move. Then as you sing or exhale you want to tighten your stomach muscles and make a sturdy base for your diaghram. The best way to get used to belly (diaphramatic) breathing is to lay on the floor on your back and put a book like a hymnal or text book on your belly. As you breath in make sure your belly moves up and expands. then hold it as you slowly exhale. proper breathing is the foundation for good singing. As far as learning how to sing properly so that you can practice. Well It's a little more complicated to explain in a small answer like this. But make sure you do not sound too breathy or too throaty. Try to make a steady even tone with your voice and make sure to lift the soft palate in your mouth. (when you yawn you shoujld feel your soft palate raise) If you are singing properly you should yawn often if you are doing it properly because you are triggering that muscle. The best thing would be to invest in a few voice lessons. Granted it would be best if you could continue with voice lessons, but if you can get a few hands on lessons to take with you and practice often that should be helpful.

It's very possible to learn to sing well. You just need to know the right methods. Learn here https://tr.im/eYNH4
Singing teachers will cost money and can be expensive so they're not for everyone. Singing can be learned so it's not an "either you have it or you don't" kind of thing.
Whether you sound like crap or you're decent, I recommend this singing course. It's one of the best methods to learn to sing well in a short amount of time. It's all about using efficient techniques that work.

If you’re like most people who dream of becoming a world-class musician or just love to sing, your goal is simple: you want to overcome your vocal barriers.
You want to take your singing ability to the highest level.
And you know that across the world, more and more people are taking their voice to that next level.
But why do some of these ‘lucky’ singers seem to have amazing ability, perfect control, pitch, agility, confidence, and a huge vocal range –
while you might still be struggling to improve your singing voice and have a masterful singing voice?

I sang prof. for 3 years....this is what I did to get a greater range......I went to the store and bought THE PHANTOM of the Opera tape (CD now). Took it home and over and over 3-4 times daily at least I would listen to the first song on the album.........where the girl (christine) sings a lot. She has one long part where she just sings octives higher and higher. I never got as high as her, but after about 1-2 weeks I could hit higher notes than I ever had before........just find some songs that have the types of styles you want, and mimic them until you get better.
For volume and strength, you need to sing from your diaphram, never let your shoulders raise (watch yourself in the mirror). When you breathe, your stomach should go out. After you train your diaphram, it will be easier to hold notse longer and at a greater volume......a good song for training for this is "Greatest love of all" whitney houston. Long note at the end......just repeat over and over until you get better. Good Luck!!

I've never heard you sing so I cant tell if you've mastered the basic technique yet, which is strengthen your diaphragm.
It's the most basic besides vibrato, but not only it helps your breathing but it also can improve your vocal range, and DEFINITELY the volume.
If you still sing from your throat, its gonna totally ruin your voice.
The diaphragm technique is fatal.
About your higher/lower range your wanna improve,
make sure you know your possible range first, what type of vocal you have?
Is it a sopran, mezzo sopran, or alto.
If u got it, improving you range can be done by singing alot of songs from women with strong vocals (I reccomend Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, etc those kinda type).
Try your best 'imitating' their character.
But dont push it tho, u got your own character. Their vocal just helps you improve your technique.
It doesnt improve quickly but after months n months of 2-3 hours per day practising with those kind of vocals, I GUARANTEE your range will improve.
also this may sound stupid, but get in a dance studio or any similar place, then running back and forth while screaming constantly through your diaphragm will totally improve your vocal strength and breathing.

It all depends on your posture and mouth pisition. Stand in front of a chair with your legs apart, like shoulder wide. Then, stand very straight and keep your head straight, shoulders straight and before you sing a high note take a deep breath. Depending on what vowel you use shape your mouth that way. For instance is the word is "you" shape your mouth into small "o" and sing.
