I am looking for a duet to sing for a Christmas performance. I am looking for something cute and possibly humorous that me (an alto/mezzo) and a man(tenor) can sing as a duet and possibly have children join in on the chorus with us. We are looking for something light and fun. Any suggestions? We are looking for suggestions even if they don't fit perfectly to the criteria... any help would be great.

I was thinking along the lines of Rosie O'Donnell's duet with Gloria Estefan on the song "Gonna Eat for Christmas"
what are some other songs like this that would be appropriate to sing with children?

One of my favourite duets for Christmas is Steve Lawrence and Edie Gormet singing "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow." Another great one that could easily become a duet is "Santa Claus is Comin To Town." Kids would love to get involved with that one. If all else fails, there is always the perennial favourite: "Must Be Santa." With that song, there is a part for everybody to sing.

I know this is probably a bizarre choice but I always liked the duet between David Bowie and Bing Crosby where they sang "The Little Drummer Boy" and then David breaks off into "Peace On Earth".

Baby, It's Cold Outside is a GREAT guy/girl duet! You can also fine tune the lyrics so that they are kid friendly.
