For men, my vote goes to Nat King Cole. His voice was so perfect and dreamy. For women, Maxine Sullivan or Peggy Lee. And did anyone see Zooey Deschanel sing in Elf? Damn...her voice is perfect and sounds just like those women, she really needs to get a record deal.
Please don't put down some flash-in-the-pan answer like Justin Timberlake or Rhianna or I swear I will &*%#&*$ kill you!;-D

Nat King Cole was so smooth, I also like Chris Cornell, Freddie Mercury, both have uncommon talent. Just to throw in something different, I heard Trisha Yearwood live during a private concert and even though I am not a country fan, she was incredible.

I agree that Michael Jackson did have a superb voice, not so confident if it grew to become into the superb making a track voice inspite of the undeniable fact that, even inspite of the undeniable fact that it grew to become into extremely up there with the all-time greats. I agree approximately Christina Aquilera, yet disagree approximately Beyonce. i think of Beyonce has a eye-catching voice, very soulful. the superb singer for me could must be Freddie Mercury. He grew to become into this style of superb expertise.

Chloe from Celtic Woman. And don't kill me but Christina Aguilerra (sp?) has an incredibly powerful voice, and most times it sounds like she has even more in reserve that's not being used. I drop what I'm doing to watch her live on a tv performance. Stevie Nicks. Elton J. Phil Collins... there isn't just one. Those are my faves.
