Be careful of certain websites claiming to have knowledge of vocal help. I have studied voice extensively for some years now, and I have seen some dreadful advice on many of them. Advice that sounds good, but doesn't help.
Also, as far as getting people to judge your voice on a website, that is not fair game either. These people aren't professionals. Most professionals can hear a good voice under bad technique, which is the case for many singers. This could be you. The average ear can't hear through all of that, and would just assume you cannot sing. I don't want you to be discouraged by some wanna be critic that doesn't know anything about voice mechanics.
I would suggest, before looking at website, searching for a good voice teacher in your area. Call around to universities, music academies, and local studios. See if you can get a "mock" lesson, and if you click well with the teacher. Check the teacher's credentials, and make sure the teacher has graduated with a BM or MM in music. If you can't afford it, ask a local music teacher or choir director. They can give you advice FOR FREE. Ask if they have any free time to help you with your vocal ability.
The only website I feel safe in sharing is www.voiceteacher.com with Maestro David Jones. There is a beginner CD you can order. The archive information on the singer is the best thing I have read on the Internet about voice. Sometimes, there is advice on there that only a professional would understand, but there is plenty of advice a starting singer can understand. So if you MUST have a website to look to, look to that one. Other than that, be leary of websites. They can have you trying to fix something vocally that doesn't need to be fixed. You need something that can cater to YOUR vocal needs, because vocally we are all different. Only a one on one session can give you that. Be encouraged, and keep aspiring to sing!

First off, you need to ask yourself a very simple question...Do I love to sing and do I know that I am good at it? If you can sing, believe me...you will recognize that you have a natural talent. You have to naturally have pitch or you should look into something else where your true talent lies. Here is a link to a free karaoke site where you can sing and bounce youself off other's opinions. It's called Singsnap. All you need is a desktop microphone and you can sing anything you want. Here's a direct link to the site through me. If you wonder why I give such advice, just listen to this song of mine and then you can navigate away. Good luck.
