Try the service "Tunecore" - I'm definitely going to try it this upcoming year as soon as I have a decent song recorded and get it copyrighted. Then I plan on doing it over and over again - other than copyright and recording costs, it is extremely cheap to get your music on this service, which includes iTunes as one of its stores - this changes the music distribution industry... forever... you don't have to suck up to a "suit" anymore to get your music published - you just pay the Tunecore fee and hope for the best. The Tunecore fee is less than $40 for 9 stores with one song - its ridiculously cheap - check it out!
