You know, its kind of annoying. At first I was a 38D then that was to small, then a 40D that was to small, its gotten far enough now that my mom has to take me to a bra shop for a customized size. Its horrible to have such big breasts, yes I get attention from people(boys) but its not always fun having them. I want to breast feed my babies OF COURSE!! So I should wait to get a surgery, but I dont know if I can, im already getting back pains.

A breast reduction would greatly help you, but since you are only 14 not many PS's will operate on you unless you have such severe back pain it affects your daily activities.

I had it done Feb 2006 (38J to 38C) and it was the best thing to happen to me. I got it covered by insurance as well.

A properly fitting bra did not help me as much as some people think it will. Most of the time your breast size will not change after gaining weight or pregnancy because the doctor takes out as much of the fat as he/she can, so weight gain/loss should be be a factor if the surgeon is good.

I also did not lose in the breast when I lost weight. It depends on if your breasts are more fatty or more dense. More dense means you won't lose in the breast, more fatty means you may lose in the breast. Also my insurance company did not need me to lose weight or provide historical documentation about my back pain, only the pictures the PS took as well as my complaints. But every insurance company has a different set of requirements for approval.

Also keep in mind that your breasts will change with every pregnancy. They my become larger or smaller. I grew up with the same problem and I was a dancer. I would be turned away from auditions because of it and teased in school. Then I decided to be proud of who I was and with what God gave me. My daughters have large breast and have a great attitude about it. We do live in a mostly Latin community and most of the girls are built the same way, so I guess that helps. So, just be patient and be proud of who you are. There are a lot of girls out there who might tease you and trust me they are simply jealous. and be thankful that your mom is willing to purchase you good fitting bras, that makes all the difference. There is nothing worse then a girl who walks around with the wrong size bra on.

If you're already getting back pains, that is a sign that you're under a lot of physical stress. If something corrective isn't done soon, you could end up permanently injuring your spine and or the muscles in your neck, shoulders, and hips. I would see a physician immediately because month by month, you could get progressively worse. If you are 14 and experiencing this pain, imagine what 17 or 18 would be like. I hope the best for you and your recovery.

Get the surgery as soon as you can. There's a chance that you're going to keep growing and face all kinds of back and neck problems. If you don't breastfeed, it's not going to hurt the baby. You need to take care of you now and not worry about kids that won't come for a while.

I understand your concern. one of my friends has very large breasts herself and she is the same age as you. Breast reduction will hardly affect the chances of you being able to breast feed. It just gets rid of some of the fat and doesn't affect the areas that the milk comes through. So you should strongly consider the reduction. Talk to a doctor about your risks and benefits. Hope that helps.

A friend had that prob (38D at 13) and she went to the docs and they told her to lose weight before she could do the surgery a lot of times as you lose weight your boobs get smaller too. The surgery is worth a shot though.

If it's really a big (no pun intended) problem, consult with your doctor, and discuss surgery as an option. I know a woman who had the surgery, and they eventually grew back to their former size!
