Of course it is! since man first walked on this planet, he / she has needed something to believe in. After tens of thousands of years of religions, they still need to believe in that same something, "a better life". However, the more inteligent ones created gods and spoke on their behalf. This made a few individuals very powerful and wealthy. Before Christianity and Islam, the Ancient Greeks, the Trojans and the Ancient Romans had many gods and were always at war with one another, in the name of their powerful gods. If the Greeks won a battle, it was because their gods were true gods and were powerful. However, when the Trojans won a battle, it proved that theirs were the true gods and were powerful. Then came Christianity! Christianity killed off the Ancient gods as it was far simpler to have one god for everything. This was supposedly followed by soon after with Islam. However, taking the Gregorian calendar into consideration with the calendars used in the Middle East and Mohammed was performing his miracles around the same time as Jesus was. Mohammed is the son of Allah and Jesus is the son of God. Both these new faiths were meant to bring about peace and harmony but as usual, historically, it opened the doors for a few power mad individuals to take control and get power. Since then, both of these peaceful faiths have been guilty not only of control but also of murder and corruption in the name of their gods. Today, the world is volatile and Christianity is now controlled by Americans (American Jews) and that is why we have so much conflict. However, both Christianity and Islam have seen many people lose faith and / or change religions. The battle for power is still there but I believe that as Christianity is now controlled by evil Americans that take every penny they can from the poorest people, brainwash those in the poorest countries and use the name of God to justify murdering thousands of innocent women and children in the Middle East, the time will soon be upon us when a new faith is born. Too many people, in the West, have deserted the church and are still seeking answers, as well as needing something to believe in and will be easily led by a new religion. All in all, regardless of any faith, as humans, we all have the responsibility to lead a good and honest life. One final thing for women to ponder, why are women not allowed to be priests etc. and why is it that a Muslim woman will be stoned to death for commiting adultry and yet a man goes unpunished? The answer is easy, men created the religions, created the rules, took all the power and protected themselves. Now get in that kitchen, cook dinner, feed the dog, change the baby and roll over like a good woman LOL

Yes. Because organized religion makes you revere people in power, gurus, self-proclaimed saints, which always means you are lower than somebody. An ideal world would have us all walk side-by-side as equals. Not begging for the next Holy Prayer Snausage.

Not for mine. The Aesir and Venir are our kin, granted a very old and divine kin. But being kin we are treated with respect as we provide them with respect. Like any family, there are morals and mores that are to be followed.

Yeah, except you forgot to add that you always smack the dog on the nose with a rolled up news paper for humping something.

"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
