Following the flooding in Gloucestershire, many businesses are temporarily with out water, so their toilets don't work. Can people be expected to work half days or should they just be sent home? What rights do the employees have?

Hi, my neighbours are having their whole house rewired. I am just worried that they may be planning an extension, They are on holiday so I can't check. Would this be a possible reason? Could they be converting their garage to a room?

I know its a long shot, but, I want to find a Canadian air force troop that was stationed here during World War two, he is my Grandmothers biological father and we just want to pay our rerspects, as he probably isnt still living. Although he knew about my nan and it was all out in the open.
Does anyone have any clue where there might be a list of people or some way of tracing him, we know that he went back to Canada after the war, a good clue where he lived etc, I have been surfing for days and cant come up with anything.

The other day at work I was talking to my friend about my Glock 21.Some other guy I didnt know butted in and said why do you have a Glock.They are weapons of terrorists.He said they can be smuggled on to airplanes.I called him a moron and all most got into a fight with him.I told him that glocks have metal parts in them and he told me If I really had a Glock Id know they were made of ceramic and pollamere.I asked him if they make ceramic bullets as well.I fell like taking my Glock to work just to show him that the barrel is metallic.And maybee pistol whip him a few times as well.Why do people belive everything they see on movies?

i have a freind who has a 3 and a half year old boy who is always running around naked, i told her many times that i feel this is inappropriatte exspeciallly since he has a seven year ols sister!!!! she says he is a baby i feel that he is not he is alaways running the streets in a diaper or in there yard naked am i wrong??? to feel this way i hate to go to her house and i am tired on telling her how to treat her grandkids as her son who is the father has a disability and does not disipline them..

I have a Sony DVD recorder/player plugged into a wide screen tv. When I watch a DVD the picture will suddenly change from widescreen to 4:3. If I press 'System Menu' on the remote once to get the menu up and then another time to get rid of it, the picture goes back to widescreen. 10-20mins later it does it again! The player is set to widescreen mode etc, so what else could it be?

Any ideas why or how to fix this?
I've even deleted all the text & codes and done it again from scratch after noticing this.

i know there are 365 days in a year and in a leap year there is i extra day so obviously that makes 366 days. however, on the tv show 'poker face' with ant & dec, this question came up and the correct answer was 367 days. ive been puzzled ever since! thanks :o)

Initially, we watched millions of illegals and hispanics with Mexican and other Latin American flags. Some had bad attitudes and clenched hands as if to provoke Americans to their plight. Many demonstrations were not planned and done in poor taste. They were abrupt and interfered with schools and law abiding communities.

We watched in disbelief as they screamed Viva Mexico! This was supposed to have won us over, of course. After the fact, hispanic and latin politicians and other racial groups started demanding that we allow every illegal to stay plus develop a plan to allow others on a work program. If you have 20 million illegals, why do you need more for a work program?

When everything started to simmer down, hispanic editors started writing and calling folk nazis, racist, bigots, and any other negative descriptive word. THE ONLY THING THEY ACCOMPLISHED out of this dog and pony show was to wake a sleepy giant, the American people.

I have been with sprint pcs for a very very long time. I have been a coustomer since 1998. Can you help? I have this Sanyo phone since 2006. and the quality is awful. i get bad reception and dropped calls. we thought it be something internally so sprint replaced the phone with the exact same one and the problem is worse. then we brought it back in and we got a software update and nothing has changed. Is the phone just crappy or does it have to do with the reception in our area?

Right, help needed. My car tax runs out on 31 July this year, my MOT certificate is valid until the 2 August this year. I can't get my car in for it's service and MOT until the 2nd August as the garage is booked up until then. Can I still tax my car for a year using this MOT certificate as don't want to be driving around for 2 days with no tax? I need use of my car on the 1st August but don't want to take the risk of having no tax even for 1 day. Looked on the DVLA website but can't find anything that says the length of time an MOT certificate needs to be valid for getting a new tax disc! Help?
