The other day at work I was talking to my friend about my Glock 21.Some other guy I didnt know butted in and said why do you have a Glock.They are weapons of terrorists.He said they can be smuggled on to airplanes.I called him a moron and all most got into a fight with him.I told him that glocks have metal parts in them and he told me If I really had a Glock Id know they were made of ceramic and pollamere.I asked him if they make ceramic bullets as well.I fell like taking my Glock to work just to show him that the barrel is metallic.And maybee pistol whip him a few times as well.Why do people belive everything they see on movies?

Tell that idiot you work with that I said he is a moron. You are right about the glock. The barrel, the slide and part of the magazine are metal. There is no gun made that can pass through the detectors at the airport.

Yep, the Glock 7 in Die Hard 2. It's a great movie, but... it's an urban legend. I own 2 Glocks myself and there is no way in hell I'm even attempting to sneak that past a metal detector.
I remember seeing another Porcelain Glock in Left Behind: World at War.
It's an interesting concept, but how the hell can you make springs and ammunition out of porcelain?

Apparently when the subject of firearms comes up, some people just go stupid.
There was some concern early on that polymer guns could be smuggled more easily, but that was soon put to rest. Your correct the barrel and several other parts are metal.
I would say this guy falls in the category of people that want attention and therefore pretend to know about alot of things.
In reality they know very little about alot of things, and only hear what they want to hear.
When someone says something that incredibly stupid, I just walk away. If you get angry with him, he will just deiced that all people that own glocks are violent. Oh I forgot
He already thinks their all terrorist.
