try it on a different pc, if it don't work.. is the mouse
if it works... it the usb port on the other machine
try a different usb port on that pc...
or buy a new mouse.
if you haven't got enough ports, get a usb hub to make the 1 port that is working into 4 ports.

Hi Twin......
How about a bit more detail with your symptoms. But sometimes I find just switching off and checking the connections solve a lot of problems, then switching back on again.
Mice are very inexpensive anyways and I prefer the standard mouse then wasting a USB slot.
Hope your mouse sorts it's self out.
