I have been with sprint pcs for a very very long time. I have been a coustomer since 1998. Can you help? I have this Sanyo phone since 2006. and the quality is awful. i get bad reception and dropped calls. we thought it be something internally so sprint replaced the phone with the exact same one and the problem is worse. then we brought it back in and we got a software update and nothing has changed. Is the phone just crappy or does it have to do with the reception in our area?

Cell phones can make a difference from time to time, but quality wise they will not be too different. The dropping of calls could be related to the phone as the RAZR had this in certain models when it first came out.

However, I have been with sprint before and have dealt with many of those same issues. Almost all of my problems were related to the reception in the area being bad. I never had that problem upon switching to Verizon.

There is no way for anyone to answer your question regarding your phone because you gave no model number but in regards to coverage use this link and you will find what to expect in regards to coverage with Sprint.

When you get to this page click on coverage.
Sprint has the most accurate map on coverage in comparison to all the other carriers. If you type in an address they will honestly inform you how strong (or weak) they are at that spot. My guess would be you are located on the fringe of their service area.
