i am 17, i have some subs in my car, but i also usually turn them down at traffic lights when its red, or when i drive close to stores, schools, homes and such. The reason i have the subs is because i like a lot of bass and i also like to install them myself and build my own custom enclosures. I also don't have a crappy car and the trunk does not vibrate like you might have seen on some other cars. I focus on the details when building my enclosure for my car and thats what i enjoy about putting 4 twelve inch JL audio 2000 watt subs in a custom enclosure in the trunk of my 2007 Dodge Charger 3.5L V6

Do judge"mental" people who are afraid to face reality, have to ask retarded questions on these forums to feel better about themselves? First off get out of your car and ask the black guy who's bumping his system, and also 6'5" with size 14wUS shoes, If he has a small whatever your insenuating. Secondly if your really not a cowardly piece of waste, go ask these folks IN PERSON in the exact same manner you do on these forums (to feel better about your own miserable self) why they bump their systems and get your answer!

Why do people condemn what they don't understand? F*cking pratts. Are You happy with the cack factory speakers in Your clonemobile? Some of us like music played through good quality speakers. As for men going on about other mens penises, I'll let You draw Your own conclusions about that.

Its a shame that we have sad wankers like yourself who can't afford a good ICE install. Always giving complaints about this and that, please get a life.
PS I'm glad you are happy with your crappy paper-cone speakers that can hardly handle 7RMS and distort and hiss and as soon as you hit the highway can't hear any music from your radio.
my 2 cents

no they have subs to improve the quality of the bass, stock 10cm speakers put out terribly distorted bass, a real proper sound system is crisp at all volumes

It always makes me laugh to see a massive loud car accelerate at the speed of a top of the range milk float. Do they not realise that all the big bore is doing is sucking through far too much fuel probably to the extent that the car is losing power and efficiantcy. FUNNY AS HELL!

It's probably to compensate on their deafness, due to years of being hollered at by theirs mums.
What bugs me is, they fit the bass and then turn up the volume and open the car windows as if WE want to hear the cr@p they play. Why not just leave the windows shut, it would sound louder wouldn't it?

No. Its for a couple of reasons:
To drown out the abysmal noise from their wide-bore exhausts.
To be loud enough that they can still hear it despite being nearly deaf from using a personal stereo or MP3 player every day since turning 12.
