Who’s The Number One Anti-Gun?

Question

It occurs to me that seldom in recent memory have
there been so many anti-gunners yowling and yammering
at us. I think it's time to take a poll: Who is the worst of them
all?

I'd like you to consider three factors in making your decision:

1. Extremism of views.
2. Ability to do us real damage.
3. General loathsomeness of personality.

And so, here is your list of candidates. Please

For the worst, I would say Sarah Brady, direct action is not alway the worst, influence can be far worse. She and her organization have strong connections to other groups like the million mom march and other anti-gun organizations. Just her beliefs passed on like truth are bad, plus their is already restrictions in her husband's name that she faught for. Remember the Brady Bill? Even for not being a president, presidential candidate, or celebrity; she poses a strong threat. The Brady campaign and Brady bill are almost common household concepts, think of how many people know about them, versus who Caroline McCarthy.

Firstly you can rule out the non-politicans other than Sarah Brady, while very loathsome and extreme, none really have any power to cause harm other than spreading their own ignorance to anyone who will listen. Rosie once said something like if you own a gun you should go to jail and if you want a gun, join the military. Perhaps her armed escorts should practice this. Feinstein is just an A$$, she was calling complete gun bans back in 1994 but didnt get enough support. She only got enough support drummed up for the 10 year Assault Weapons Ban that retired in 2004. If too many people revert to a stage of infinate complacency we could see another ban, but I don't count on one soon.

The presidental hopefuls I don't fear too much. While again very loathsome and some demanding far reaching permanent bans, short of becoming a dictator, none have the power to initiate their bogus beliefs into law by themselves. Even if a nasty democrat wins the election, we still have a chance provided people carefully pick their senators.

Rep. Caroline O'Connor McCarthy is just a moron, and some day she will slip and expose her own stupidty. Even if it doesn't happen, all she can do is crank out frivolous bills one after another. As long as one doesn't get tacked onto another must pass bill, she isn't too much to fear.


Lastly as a side note, I'm not so worried about gun grabbing, what scares me more would be import restrictions, taxes, quantity limits, and other restrictions on ammo and reloading components. Don't forget, your gun suddenly becomes a club/spear when there is no more ammo.

"Mike Magnum" of Gunguys takes the cake. Gunguys is a branch of Freedom States Alliance is obviously a fictitious name. These guys are against anyhting remotely gun related. Even Thurston Howell II and his skeet/trap shotgun are not safe from Mike.

Hard to choose, as they all enjoy the safety of some type of personal protection. How ironic that their bodygaurds and escorts are usually packing the very weapons that they are trying to outlaw.

Background on Brady, He was a press secretary shot during Ronald Reagan's presidency. Apparently there was an attempt on the president's life, he took a bullet and is permanently disabled.

So his wife has an emotional reaction to his misfortune, looks for someone or something to blame and works to ban handguns. This is typical of many politicians. They react to alleged "public outcry" and do "something" to ease people's pain. Unfortunately what many people want is irrational and short sighted and will make gun violence worse because criminals will have less risk in their trade. Then we will see an increase in police force, a decrease in police pay, an increase in police corruption an increase in taxes and an overall lower quality of life.

At least that is my opinion.

They all suck, because they don't think about what is best for everyone, they think what will get them votes, money and better their quality of life as opposed to everyones. Then they pat themselves on the back thinking how good they are and how misguided we are when you can look at places that limit legal gun ownership and see very high crime rates.

You know what happened in Florida when they made it easier to defend yourself with deadly force? The crime moved! Yes it moved to areas where you couldn't carry guns. It dropped in areas where law abiding citizens could carry guns and increased where they couldn't!

OK. I read the part where you said pick ONE but....The way I see this is you have a 10 WAY TIE FOR FIRST PLACE.They are like a cancer to the law abiding gunowners of America. Cancer has to be removed!! Get out and vote! With this issue and Iraq killing our soldiers, there is no excuse not to vote and replace these fools! Just my honest opinion!

Sara Brady ! She heads the largest anti gun lobby in the world as far as I know.
These people actually believe that outlawing guns will help lower crime and the murder rate.
How do seemingly educated intelligent people believe such a thing? It's so simple. Only the law abiding citizens would obey the law anyway. Criminals would get guns, just like they get drugs.
If they can keep all the illegal drugs out of the US for one year......they can have my guns!
I feel pretty safe on that bet.

That Brady guy is Sara Brady his wife? Isnt that ware the whole stupid Brady Bill came from.They wasted all that time and money on that bill when our country was fighting a war on drugs that we lost anyway.Maybee if they would have handled the war on drugs diffrently I wouldnt need a Gun where I live we have a huge heroin problem.If any dope fiend breaks into my house it will be the last time he ever does that again.
