Ok - I'm just me. Last night, I was talking to a male friend who knows me quite well. We were discussing my relationship with a man currently my life. He surprised me by telling me that he found me to be very intimidating at first and that maybe the problems I have been having getting this man to move into a closer friendship/relationship may have something to do with this. Looking back at some other recent relationships, I'm thinking that he may be on to something and maybe I need to figure a way to still be me and not come off like this because the irony is that I am the most insecure person I know and can't see how anyone would look at me and think I was anything but! Help!

I've been renovating my kitchen and it's Murphy's Law the whole time - cabinets stuck in China, hiring contractors that either didn't show up or did a v. bad job, etc.

A few weeks ago I was at a lunch for work and after being asked about my kitchen I mentioned that I'd just fired contractor number four. A Faculty member (I work at a small school) I know only slightly referred me to his contractor.

This contractor was perfect - did a great job, on time, same price as the estimate, etc. After not having a working kitchen for five months (!) you can imagine how grateful I am to this faculty member for the referral.

I've called to thank him when he first gave me the contractor info. I don't want to be too over the top, but what do you think about sending the faculty member a card and maybe a small gift?

I talked to my ex-husband about that fact that I thought it was inappropriate that he's sleeping in the same room as our son with his new girlfriend. He says he doesn't care what I think he is going to do it anyways. Our son says stuff like, I saw daddy and kim kissing when I was in bed. That just really #1 Hurts and #2 I think is morally wrong. He has NO respect for me or our son. I just don't know what to do anymore. It is confusing to our child but that doesn't seem to phase him. Everyone I've talked to thinks it's wrong too. I want to know how someone can be this way. I know for a fact i would never in a million years do that. Unless we where going to get married. Why is this chick s o stupid to not see that that is really wrong?

i have 2 angelfish;1 kori cat;1 baby plecostamus; 2 mollies;5 cardinals; 1 horsefaced loach;1 clown loach.
neither of these fish grow to be to big.
the angelfish and the pleco will grow to be big.
i will have to replace the pleco in a couple of years.
i want to get some dwarf gouramis.
what other breeds of fish should i get to go in my tank?
i want color and the most aggressive they can be are semi aggressive.
p.s. my tank is not crowded at all.

I am going to be starting my first job in a month as a teacher getting paid about 30000, and my husband is in the military getting paid about 35000!
So, together we only make about 65000-70000 a year.
Im 21 and hes 24.
Anyways.....I DO NOT want to be a teacher my entire life....I actually want to be a school counselor or teach at a community college...which then I will get paid about 50000, but I NEED expirience first!
So, is this a really CRAPPY SALARY?

Christians, almost all of them, rely upon a book to tell them their truths.

And what are those truths? That Humanity is flawed, wicked, and unworthy of an honourable fate unless they appease the deity who put them in that position.

And how do they appease this god? By piously persecuting all who disagree with their truths.

Historically, this has included the use of gruesome torture and execution. More recently, it has wound down (thanks to secularism) to the point where we are talking about the denial of equality for others who disagree with the christian truths.

They don't execute heretics anymore. They create legislation to make life harder for them and more favourable for christians.
