It's not that the Pope isn't allowed to do sexual acts, it's that no one is allowed to do sexual acts. But the Pope, being who he is, is under the spotlight. Firstly, as most have answered, his age isn't the peak age to have sexual urges. But lets just say he still does. The cause of any sexual urge is attachment to a flesh "desire". The first part is called temptation, which the Pope problably has, which is not a sin since even Jesus was tempted (Mark1:13) . For the sin to happen, the Pope would have to act upon the "desire", and the further his mind is from spiritual thoughts, the easier he would succumb. Being a Pope, and doing the work he does, it's actually more difficult for him to succumb, and this is psychological. Therefore being a Pope, it's actually more difficult to perform sexual acts. If he is performing sexual acts now (though I doubt it), then he must have been doing it before he became Pope, and only time will tell the true story. Sorry for the long answer...

I am not the Pope or Jesus and I can tell you that when you have your mind in deep things is so really easy to do so.
When my child was coming and I had to look for a new place to live, a good job and buy the things for my son and so on... I was the most liberated person of this world.
Stupid people is slave to sex, more evolved are able to enjoy it yes, but there are so many other sources of so deep satisfaction and more lasting and meaningful pleasure.
Many, many people who likes their profession, a sport, a hobbie or that loves so much their couple and children can tell you this also.

I don't believe for one minute that his faith is stronger than his sexual urges!
If that were true, wouldn't that be true for any member of the clergy-including the many priests involved in molesting altar boys?
Nobody will be able to answer this with even a grain of knowledge. Only the Pope knows and I'm sure he wouldn't respond.

It is actually possible to control your urges. I got help from The Holy Spirit. The Pope probably does not have all the sexual in put that we get from television rdio and magazines here.

How anybody else does.
Fun fact: The original definition of "celibacy" for priests merely meant that they couldn't marry; it had nothing to do with sexual relations. Many popes throughout history have fathered children.

It is no use asking us. Your best way to find out would be to inquire of His Holiness yourself. Meanwhile you would be well advised to mind your own business . How would you like it if any old person started to pry into your particular sexual activities? This is my immediate response as a human being . I promise you I am not even a Catholic.
