What Christian denomination are you?

What challenges do you face being both progressive and Christian? (criticized from all sides perhaps?!)

What led you to becoming a Christian? (Or...why do you remain with the faith, even though you might disagree with many fellow Christians on many issues?)

II’m going to be very frank and sober on this point. I want you guys to take a deep breath and search your souls for truth with a capital “T”.
Many of you are far more intelligent than I am and I take my hat off to you. However, faith in Christ and believing the scriptures is really not about having a high or low I.Q. As intelligent as some of you may be, I know and you know, there are some Christians that are far more intelligent than any of you. I am not putting you down in anyway I just want you to grasp that there is something about the word of God that goes beyond the immediate perception. It actually blesses countless lives! Again, it’s not about intelligence it’s about suspending attitude, pride and ego in the inner most part of our psyche. Listen to the spirit of the words of the bible and not just the words themselves. Come on, let’s be real, even using your logic and science, the numbers in favor of probable intelligent design far out weigh the astronomical numbers of CHANCE. Jesus put it this way…
"I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.”¬¬_ Luke 10:21
Finally, my question. Could you possibly be overlooking the find of your life?

Wouldn't that be a decent maketing campaign they could incorporate into their title sponsorship? They could use Sprint in there somewhere, anyway, but I think that would sound cool for the last 10 races. What do you think?

I need a list of some things that are socially acceptable of women but not of men and some things that are socially acceptable of men but not of women. I already have the basic things like men shouldn't cry and women can play with dolls but I need more than that.

theirs a guy at a bar and he had been drinkin its 2 in the morning and wants to go home he trais to get up but can't so drags himself out.....around the corner he trais again but fails........outside his home he trays onces more but again fails.....goes in and his wife is waiting for him on the couch "I see you've been drinking again" "no honey what gave you that idea" "because once again you forgot your wheelchair"

I am applying for a teacher training course and one of the questions is "why do you want to do this course". I presume they are looking for more than "im intrested in teaching" and "i like working with kids". I have no background in teaching to put down and have already put down my background of working with kids to demonstrate the second point. Is there any other suggestions/ on what to write?

I bought some cast iron fencing [garden borders] & they arrived w/broken points :-(
It was bought on ebay, and I thought it was insured but it was not.
The seller has not responded to my emails and were jerky in communication b4 hand [which I've NEVER exp./ebay until this ... ]
ANYWAY~perhaps I'll take last option & TRY to MEND these fence sections myself.
I do NOT know how to weld, lol!
IS THERE any other way to mend cast iron aside from welding?? Pleaaaase?? (I sure hope so)

i have atleast ten people coming over to my apartment for supper next wednesday and i need some help on something to make!!!!! i want something thats failrly easy and quick to make, it's feeding ten boys so i need something that will make a lot lol. also these guys are in two bands that are playing that night so i don't want something that they'll eat and it'll over fill them and give them the nasty full feeling the rest of the night, yet something that is filling so they don't get hungray later on (if that makes any sense). My pool has been invaded by hundreds of baby frogs. I skim them out only for them to return. Has anyone ever had this problem, and how do I get rid of them? I've tried to be nice, but know it's time for them to leave (no matter what I have to do!).

Hello. I am going into my sophomore year of high school, and am 5'11" and 235, but am in the process of becoming 190 lbs. I want to play on the basketball team, but am only used to playing in the post (because growing up, I was a lot taller than most my age) but now, I am questioning whether or not I'll be able to play F or C due to my height. While, I am expected to grow taller, I still have doubts. You think that at my height I could still play F or C in high school? Thanks in advance.
