I am a Texan so I don't get to vote until it has basically been decided already but as far as the current top candidates go I would vote for Fred Thompson over McCain, Rudy, and Romney. Romney would be my second choice in that list, with Rudy third.

McCain is unacceptable, and I will not vote for him even if he is the nominee.

I'd like it to be Fred Thompson. He's my first choice. I'm having a hard time with the others, but who knows what the future brings.

If I were a Republican I would vote for Ron Paul. He's the only one up there who has principles (that haven't changed this week), nor does he support this foolish war in Iraq (consistent with 70% of the public).

Well, all the candidates may not have announced yet, and I need to see the actual list before I decide. But I am leaning toward Fred Thompson. One of my husband's friends used to work for him and he is an intelligent man of honor in my opinion.

I think Fred Thompson is head and shoulders above the rest. He has the morale compass to be an excellent leader....
