I am going to work at this nursing home entering bills into a computer, do some shreding - maybe in the basement, and mop the floors. i got 6.50 last yearv b/c that is what i asked for and i only turned 16, the legal age to work. This year I want to ask for 8.50 is that too high, or should I go with 7.75 or 7.50? thanx

My husband has had a hernia in his stomach for a couple of years now. A couple of days ago, he was working on the truck. He had a sudden pain, now the hernia seems to have disappeared, he says his stomach hurts really bad for about two days now. Has anyone ever heard of a hernia disappearing or exploding. He says hus stomach really hurts, but I can no longer see the hernia!!

a lady from my church ,who is also my friend's mother has given me a purity ring. She has given many other youth in my church purity rings but mine was presented in a way different than the rest. (wrapping ,gift box, bow). My question is how long do i wait to give her a "thank you"card and should the card be religiously themed?

Your king was supposed to take out the Spurs.. You even said' "just wait till we get back home" after going down 2 games to 0. I have a 3 year old Wirehair. She has been living with us for about a year now, and the thing is shes 55% out door, and 45% indoor cat ( indoor meaning garage). She is very comfortable out side because she KNOWS it's her territory. She knows who’s supposed to be in our garage, and how my car looks like so when I pull up she’s waiting by the door. She was a stray and I love her so much. I can't stand being away from her. But now were moving. And I'm terrified that she might wonder off from our new house. A few days before we moving I'm going to take her on a leash and walk around our new neighborhood, so she might get familiar with it. she’s also getting chipped. But if you have any suggestions on how I could deal with moving a cat from a very comfortable out/indoor environment, to a totally new place I would love to know. Thank you.

I have a State job, and I'm at the end of a year-long probationary period. During my first 2 months of employment, I had 3 instances of petty misconduct (attending an out-of-office meeting w/o accompaniment, playing a sudoku puzzle on MS Excel, and coming back late from lunch). I was counseled on these incidents but was not terminated. At the end of the standard 6-month probationary period, they elected to extend the probation period, rather than give me permanent status or terminate me. Since then, I've had no incidents of misconduct, but I've heard rumblings that my boss is concerned I may simply not be a good fit for the job and may not receive the appointment.

If I'm terminated due to failing a working test period, could they successfully argue that I'm not entitled to unemployment due to incidents of misconduct that took place over 8 months ago? Or would they have to prove my termination was immediately precipitated by misconduct?

By just running your plates is an officer able to tell that you haven't registered your car? Or if you get pulled over and he sees your paperwork you're busted? I mean, if you have current tags, however the car is not currently registered (as in you just got a current year sticker from someone off the street), what's the consequence if a cop runs your plates??
