I moved to the mountains about 2 years ago. I moved 350 miles away from my family. I miss them, but I will not leave here for anything. Does anyone else feel this way. My family doesn't understand and I can't explain it to them.

there isn't much to do in our town and the next city is about 2 hours drive so we can not go veryday , what things i can do to make them get out of the boring routine ?

A decent Question earlier about the Flood story and Noah's Ark. The obvious holes in the story were being discussed by the logic-minded. The generic "god did it, so don't question it" replies came from the usuals in the fiction arena.

And then, I had to stop and laugh.

One guy, with the usual "it's god's word" rant going on -- not ever realizing or considering that there is NO PROOF that the bible or any other cult book or manual is actually the word of any god at all -- continues with the usual "god can handle anything, why question his word" etc etc. and then, topped it off with:

"I think you're wrapped up in science too much."

I actually laughed out loud.

A sort of "reprimand" to someone for thinking, for examining and investigating, for approaching things logically and reasonably, for being intelligent...

..."I think you're wrapped up in science too much."

Really -- does that make you laugh out loud, or what??

I just cant help myself...in every aspect of life I just hate being beat.. dont even think about overtaking me on the road or ordering a bigger steak !!

Too have a option of picking not just Best Answer but have a second best also and get maybe 5 points.
The reason why I ask is because sometimes you do have more than one answer you like and it is hard 2 pick just one.

I mean, I don't think He has an appendage, if you know what I mean. That would cause more theological conundrums than it's worth, wouldn't you agree? Of course, the appellation "It" is a bit on the demeaning side, so I certainly understand the human leanings toward assigning a gender to the creator of all things, if any there be. My boyfriend of four years is always soooo busy with school, work, his fitness training, and college baseball. He never has any energy to go anywhere or do anything! I feel very bad for him when he comes home from a hard day at work beat red from the sun and drops down on his bed because he is exhausted. However, I do feel there are times that he could put me before some of his trips to the gym or before he offers to play baseball for teams on his only day off and tells me he cant go to the lake or spend the day with me when I have not seen him all week. He is still very sweet to me and I know he is doing good things for himself and its not like he is out drinking all night, but i get pissed off when im lonely every day of my life, I feel like i dont even know him anymore. How should I act, Should I be supportive and put my feelings aside, or should I keep getting pissed because i am?
