I would like to go back to XP after being very dissatisfied with Vista. Since installing it, my computer is slow to open programs, slow to turn on and off, I cannot use Word or Excel 2003, & other various problems that are extremely frustrating. How nasty of Microsoft to force people to spend even more $$
on Office 2007 after buying Vista.

So, I have decided that I'd like to go back to XP. When I got Vista I had to make recovery disks. If I use those will it bring me back to XP, or will it just reinstall Vista? If not, how can I do it? I thought I heard of a way to bring your computer back to a certain date. Would it being back my XP if I brought my computer back to the day before I installed Vista? If there is no way to reinstall XP, how can I make my computer open programs more quickly and make my computing less frustrating?

What's so "WOW" about Vista anyway? I haven't seen any improvements over XP. Are lots of others disappointed with Vista as well?
Thanks

You may not have heard about it in the media because it was a black on white hate crime instead of the opposite (which would have been all over the news), but a white couple in Knoxville, Tenn were carjacked by 5 blacks. The white man was sodomized and his penis cut off in front of his wife. His wife was brutally raped, and then they were both mutilated and killed.
Now, if you or I saw this happening we would stop it.
God is supposed to see everything, and He did nothing to stop it.
So, the reason has to be one of 3 possible answers.
1. He was unwilling to stop it.
2. He was unable to stop it.
3. God does not exist.
You can spout me all the scripture you want, but in the end, it comes down to one of those explanations.
What do you think?

How much do you guys REALLY care about your step kids? Especially boys, and what if you happen to have one of your own with the woman that has brought a little boy into the marriage.?(The "father" of the child is not in the picture, meaning the kid doesnt know him).

I am refinishing an oak kitchen table, and I have already applied three coats of polyurethane gloss, (which took much longer to dry than the instructions said). I used no other wood treatment, just sanded and cleaned the top.

The wood seems to be soaking up the polyu, especially in a few pieces of the oak composite tabletop and is leaving a definate wood grain. I want a smooth, durable finish. Is there a limit on coats? Any other suggestions or help?

Paul was supposedly born and raised in the city of Tarsus, a region in SE Asia-Minor (now called Turkey) where Mithras was well known. Biblical scholars are now saying that Paul, the alleged author of 13 out of the 27 (maybe more) books of the New Testament, may have been influenced in his writings by this strong religion of Mithraism. We can see a profound kinship between Mithraism and Christianity.

To quote Danielle - "I firmly believe Paul took the teachings of an Essene rabbi called Jesus and rearranged them to fit the Mithras mythology. There were many wannabe messiahs around the time of Jesus; the man who could establish a religion based on a "real" messiah would be a very powerful and respected man, which Paul apparently wanted to be.

The fact that Paul never met Jesus, and that Jesus never foretold Paul's appearance (unless it was included in his warning about deceivers that would fool "the very elect"), should be proof that Paul had no authority in real Christianity. "

Luke 14

7When he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at the table, he told them this parable: 8"When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited. 9If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, 'Give this man your seat.' Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place. 10But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, 'Friend, move up to a better place.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow guests. 11For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Only on second computer. Main CPU is fine, installed wireless adapter for other. I can see the connection being made but when I open an browser, it tells me it can't connect. Is this a browser problem? I even ran a cable from the router to the computer, bypassing the wireless all together. The ethernet shows 'connected' but the browser still can't recognize.

Anybody have any ideas?
