It strikes me as very odd that the conservative platform, which is made up of a lot of religious people, strongly supports the death penalty. Didn't your god say "thou shalt not kill?" Doesn't that mean "Thou shalt not even kill a murderer?"

I am trying to start an old movie collection. I am 26 so i don't know much about old movies, just the ones i catch on TCM. I am looking for movies on DVD because i do not have a VHS anymore. Any recommendations for good old movies to start my collection. I already have Breakfast At Tiffany's, Roman Holiday, and Suddenly Last Summer. I am about to order Funny Face and I already have many Shirley Temple Movies. I am not into war movies. Just love stories, musicals, comedy and horror. Remember i need DVD'S so please help. I am also adding a master bedroom in my home and would like to decorate my room in Classic movie theme, but i would like to know the movies and the people that i decorate with. Thanks for the help. Including ticket sales, television contracts, merchandising, advertising, partnerships etc.. Basically, I am trying to look at the "big picture" here. I want to know which makes more money, in total, the NFL and it's teams, or NASCAR and all it's teams. The answer is not just one aspect of sales (eg ticket sales), rather I would like to know which one makes more in total... to use an analogy---think of the answer in terms of the United States GDP... what's the GDP of NFL vs. NASCAR???

My microwave began making a loud noise while operating today, and it also stopped heating. It is a GE, and it is about 7 years old. I'm doing evaluating trigonometric functions and the answer can not be left as a decimal so,
if I get an answer like
5/(5 squareroot of 5) how is it in the simplest form?
the book says:

(squr. root of 5) / 5

How did they get that?

The same thing with 10 / (5 sqr. root 5)
to which the answer is said to be (2 sqr. root 5) / 5

How did they get the #1 and #2 que.

I know I can say that I have. Various times. I've found that god responds back to me & helps when I make a promise to him to reverse a sin that I commit daily. Per example, throw trash on the floor or be an angry person. I promise to be nicer person & I keep my promise. All of a sudden, the pain that I had on my back for an entire is completely gone. Miracle? I don't think so. & so many other various occasions he has done the same. I think that just asking god to help us is just not gonna do it. Everybody sins. Wheather its yelling at you mother, using bad language, doing drugs-etc. I just want to know who else out there has faith & what times has god helped you in?

I usually wake up at 8:30am, then take a shower, have breakfast and go to the college. After my classes I go to a shop, or sometimes visit a friend. I come back home at about 3 or 4pm and then I make dinner. Later, I work on the computer or do my homework. I go to bed lately, often after the midnight.

Today I was in the library studying quietly. I was on the computer with several other people around me on other computers. One person was disabled and started having a fit and passed out dropping to the floor and knocked their head on the table.

I was right across from this person and I think I saw them drop first. Instead of helping I sat there and pretended I did not see it. For some reason I didn't want to help. I was frozen.

Eventually other people came to the rescue and it was all ok but what if I was the only person there to help. Would I have sat there frozen or done something?

Has anybody else has this similar experience?

Sorry, for the double post. Initially I posted to a wrong category.

I'm Austin, Texas. Planning to purchase a new home. Wondering what best energy efficient features I should asked the builder.

Have you done anything yourself? Economical?
What should I target mainly?
Solar? Ventilation?
Windows are huge in family room with high ceiling. What windows should I go for to protect myself in Texas heat?

One of the builder was saying they added 'Tech Shield radium sheet' to the roof and says it reflects light, and saves electric bill. Are those effective?

Any rebates or incentives goverment offer?

After soo many years I still have yet to find the perfect recipe!!
Sometimes I use Cottage cheese or Ricotta or Mozzerella, or a mix or all

Sometime I add green peppers or onions

I just haven't found the perfect combination!
