Smurfs have formed a simple yet highly effective socialist society and have, on numerous occasions, defended themselves against a larger, more sinister enemy while still remaining productive.
Rice has done nothing productive and has continued to make enemies.
The Smurfs have my vote.

Papa Smurf, not that the other smurfs and Rico are not intelligent. Papa Smurf is just older and has far more experience.

When you are that low, it is hard to measure any real difference. Papa Smurf was pretty smart, and the girl Smurf was cute at least.
