No, a crock pot will never get hot enough to fry food. It's a slow cooker, so even the highest setting won't fry.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! This appliance is made for slow cooking only. It cannot get the oil hot enough to deep-fry successfully. Also, the liner couldn't withstand the heat. A deep pot (such as a dutch oven) with a thermometer or an electric deep fryer is your best bet.

No, if you don't have a deep-fryer, you can use a deep pan and heat the oil on the stove. But, watch it carefully so you don't get the oil too hot or you could start a fire. A tip to find out if the oil is hot enough... pinch a small piece of bread (about the size of your baby fingernail) and drop it in the oil, if it sizzles, the oil is hot enough. If it burns quickly, it's too hot.

I would not think you could. The heat on those things do not get as hot as a deep fryer. I wouldn't try it. Have a Blessed day! :)

No. No no no no no no. Nononononono!
Crock pots are designed for slow cooking--they would take too long to get the oil hot, and they don't get hot enough to cook in oil.

No. It doesn't get hot enough. Just use a frying pan if you don't have a deep fryer.

NO.....No....NO....
A Crock-pot cooks food slowly at low temperatures while deep-fried food needs to be cooked at about 180 degrees Centigrade. Unfortunately the thermostat in your crockpot does not support these high temperatures.
