I am 37 weeks along, the doc says my baby is approx. 8lbs right now and will be 10lbs by delivery. The baby is big and I have a hard time sitting up straight because he is so high. He sits very high to the point that I cannot bend over or touch my toes without him pressing on my sternum. I asked the doc when he would drop so I would have more room "up there" and he said that the baby probably won't drop because he is big. Others, nurses included have said this isn't true. When did your baby drop and was he/she a large one?

my doctor has me on a standing order prescription for tylenol with codeine but asked me at my last appt what I would be doing if I were NOT pregnant to manage the pain of the migraines. Keep in mind that these headaches have had me hospitalized at least 3 times in the past year. I told him I would be smoking pot as it is the only thing that takes the pain away and allows me to eat and get some restful sleep. He then proceeded to tell me that he would actually be more comfortable with me managing the pain with marijuana then using codeine on an as needed basis for the rest of the pregnancy. I talked to me mom, an RN, about it and she agreed with him. I am not smoking pot right now, and have leveled off of the codeine in favor of extra strength tylenol as I thought the headaches were becoming too dependent on the pills. I still have headaches all day every day that keep me mostly bed ridden. Any opinions on smoking for pain relief while pregnant?

Are there any pump users out there who also use Lantus? I was taken off my pump 4 years ago and put back on shots (Humalog) and daily Lantus. I want to go back on my pump and I have an appointment to see my doctor about it tomorrow. I was taken off the pump because I needed the Lantus and at the time, there was not enough research involving the use of Lantus while also on a pump. I've been hearing that many pump users also take a daily injection of Lantus, but at a lower doasge (I take 30 units of it a day). I emailed Minimed but I have not yet gotten a response. I would like to see what others have to say. My pump does work...I put batteries in it, fired it up, ran the self test and it works fine. I even got out an infusion set and inserted it (the pump is NOT hooked up...I will wait for my doctor's approval).

I have been dating this guy for over 3 yrs and he has a lot of really great qualities. We are great friends, common interests, good sex, etc. We have a great relationship. However there is 1 problem...he is really cheap. Whenever he buys anything for us, he asks me for 1/2 the cash. Whenever I am the one paying, I don't even consider asking for 1/2. We drive my car EVERYWHERE so I am always buying gas. I sort of feel like once in a while he should offer to pay for gas or he should buy me dinner or something. We went to the bar on sat after I had made dinner (and paid for everything) for him and his bro and the cover was $3. He paid for his bro and not me! I don't want to start keeping a list of how much each of us spend or anything but I do think it should be more equal. This didn't bother me for a long time but now I am starting to feel taken advantage of. When I brought it up to him he got EXTREMELY defensive. Am I being silly? What is the right way to approach this?

One of the regular foursome was sick, so a new member named George filled in. He was very good and pleasant company so they asked him to join them again the following Sunday. "9.30 okay?"

George said, "Fine, but I may be about ten minutes late. Wait for me."

The following Sunday George showed up right on time. Not only that he played left-handed and beat them.

The next Sunday there was George, punctual to the dot. This time he played right-handed and beat them again. "Okay, for 9.30 next Sunday?" one of the foursome asked.

Another golfer jumped in. "Wait a minute… You always say you may be ten minutes late. But you’re always right on time and you beat us whether you play right or left handed."

George said, "Well, that’s true – I’m superstitious. If I wake up and my wife is sleeping on her right side, I play right-handed. If she’s sleeping on her left side, I play left-handed."

No Website referrals or sweeping generalizations please. Would your choice be good for just you or for everyone else? What might help you may not be great for someone else. For example, if you decided to treat yourself to a day at the Spa, getting a massage, a pedicure, enjoying the sauna and steam bath, this might not be helpful to someone else who could not afford to take a day or half a day off of work.

I recently put up a new fence. And i have had it blow down twice in the last two months since i set it up. The concrete mix im using doesnt seem to be setting up right. The post is very loose after i set it. Also i live in KY and the ground is very rocky and a clay like material. I was wondering if it would help the concrete settle by drilling 3/8" holes in the post and putting 2' rebar in the post in the ground. Or if i should use a quick setting concrete.
