if they don't win
at least half there games it will be the longest streak of a team in any sport to go so many years without wining half there games

I think they have the talent to do so. It will depend on 2 things: (1) Their starting pitching continuing to put up good numbers, and (2) their offense getting off the ground. On #2, their starters don't even really have to have career years, just to get back up to their career averages. Of their 8 starting position players, only 2 are hitting above their career OPS numbers (Jack Wilson and Jose Bautista), and neither of those guys can be considered key offensive players. If you can get most of the guys (starting with Bay and LaRoche) hitting, then I see a .500 season.

I don't think so, and the Pirates were always competitive, they've got crappy management. The Marlins have proved you can win in a small market.
