I can name at least five kids who's parents smoked pot and they are just fine. (In fact, a couple of them are really smart.) If your doctor thinks it's okay for you, then do it. I have yet to find an unbiased study that says that smoking pot will actually hurt the baby. I didn't smoke with my daughter, but that was my personal choice. I do get migraines, and I know exactly what you mean about how bad they can get. I was lucky enough that I only had one when I was pregnant and it sucked!
I got a migraine two weeks ago and nothing was breaking it, not pot, not my migraine meds, nothing. Do you have any rice packs at home? They are bags of rice that you can microwave and use for pain. I took a shower, used one of those, took some excedrin, (mine had aspirin, but they do make aspirin free), and went to bed. A few hours, it finally went away. I feel for you! I would do what the doctors said and not tell anyone about it. You wouldn't want an uninformed person to throw it in your face. Good luck and congratulations!

I didn't get migraines until I got pregnant and now I have them horribly. My dr. has prescribed tylenol with codeine for me, too, but at one point changed me over to midrin. Have you ever taken that? The midrin actually made me extremely sick and I ended up in the er, but it seems to work for other people and doesn't have the narcotic aspect to it.
Most of the answers you will get on here will be anti-pot, but from most of the things I've read, it is almost like taking something like tylenol 3- it is considered a class C drug that has not been tested enough to know the true effects. With that said, I have not smoked while pregnant, but know others who have and the babies have been fine. Also, many ppl on here will tell you not even to take the tylenol 3, but I could not have managed the pain otherwise. You just have to decide if the benefits outweigh the risks. When it comes to pain, I say the benefits are much greater, but it is all a personal choice. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

If this is your first pregnancy, then no, as you could complicate the natural course of things for your baby. I was able to breastfeed my babies right from birth and didn't have to fuss with bottles at all until 4 months when I ran out of milk. I had twins the first time and was pretty stressed out with my failing marriage. The second time with my daughter she had a heart defect and I couldn't breastfeed her anymore past 4 months due to her surgery. I used the breast pump at that time until I dried up 2 months later. Stress will do that. Just relax, enjoy the pregananct and let nature take it's course. Any question can be answered by the doctor or midwife. Good luck m'dear!

I can't imagine how hard it is for you, but remember you only have a few weeks left and you wouldn't want to live with a mentally imparred child because of something you done. Just hang in there, take it as easy as possible, God bless.

I wouldn't do it. It can't be good for the baby.
