Because it seems like it is. Forgive me for joking from time to time, we get some atheists and christians on here who make both(and the human race as a whole) just plain bad. And I feel terrible that you atheists have to slave away drinking all day, because I have to work and I too would like to drink all day. Just kidding, but I do have a drink from time to time, and I am a Christian--with a science teacher for a brother, a nominal christian for a girlfriend, a crazy pentecostal for a mother, and a couple wiccan and agnostic friends. None of us behave this way, at least usually. I think that when one of these sweeping generalized statements are made, the respective party should correct their own and the other party shouldn't even jump at that opportunity. It's too easy. Most of the people on here are much smarter than that, but like me, are also easily enticed. That being said, sorry for posting a non-Q, and your 3 minutes will arrive in your mailbox shortly.

I did not accept my boyfriend's proposal 2 yrs ago b/c I felt we were not ready financially for marriage. We are currently separated on a "break", his choice - no dating of others. He is trying to buy a house to feel as he says "like the man in the relationship". He finally told me that he has resentment due to my non-acceptance of his proposal. I told him that I love him and I would marry him now but he says it's not the right time since we are at odds. What do I do? It's been 6 weeks of back and forth. I am angry because the pain from the break and he is angry about the embarrassment from the proposal. He evidently told a lot of people. (BTW, we didn't discuss marriage fully and he did not has a gist of what I would say.)
Help, what do I do?

My Dr. put me on 5mg of Lexapro. I know this is a very small dose, but I am still leary of taking any anti depressant. Does the positive effects of this drug outweigh the negative? Also, will marijuana affect what the drug is supposed to do? I only smoke a little before I go to bed to help me fall asleep. Please don't tell me that drugs are bad or give a lecture, I already know.

A friend of mine got an email message from someone claiming to be Warren James, CEO of Warren James Jewellers in the UK. In the email, he askes my friend if she would be interested in working for him. The work would entail her sending payment for products via Western Union. As it is described, customers pay in US certified check and money order and my friend would have to forward the money via Western Union to the company in the UK. My friend would get to withhold 10% of all money as payment for her services. I know there is a Warren James Jewellers website that looks legit, but to me it sounds like a scam, like a money laundering scam or something. They want her to send a copy of her photo ID and to give some personal information such as address and phone number and such. If anyone can give me some advice as to what I can tell my friend so she doesnt make a mistake and have her identity stolen, or get in trouble for money laundering. What do you think about this?

People are upset about gas prices going up. Democrats say they will investigate. Democrats also want to increase the gas tax. Increasing the gas tax will increase the price of gas.

Does this mean it is OK to raise the price of gas only if the Democrats benefit from it?
