Because it seems like it is. Forgive me for joking from time to time, we get some atheists and christians on here who make both(and the human race as a whole) just plain bad. And I feel terrible that you atheists have to slave away drinking all day, because I have to work and I too would like to drink all day. Just kidding, but I do have a drink from time to time, and I am a Christian--with a science teacher for a brother, a nominal christian for a girlfriend, a crazy pentecostal for a mother, and a couple wiccan and agnostic friends. None of us behave this way, at least usually. I think that when one of these sweeping generalized statements are made, the respective party should correct their own and the other party shouldn't even jump at that opportunity. It's too easy. Most of the people on here are much smarter than that, but like me, are also easily enticed. That being said, sorry for posting a non-Q, and your 3 minutes will arrive in your mailbox shortly.

LOL about the 3 minutes....
That seems like it could make a real holiday -- "Poor Representation of Belief" day. I hope YOU get the credit for it, if it does happen.

If I were Christian, I would be mortified at the amount of whiny childish arguments most Christians seem to come up with on here, ignoring any sensible and well thought out arguments and insisting that "goddidit", launching petty, misguided attacks on those who either choose not to believe, or choose to follow a different religion. I have lost alot of respect for Christians because of this sight.

My view of Christians was initially shaken when I first found this site. I was shocked to find 'true believers' of the young earth creationist type. In 2007. On the internet.

Eventually the view balanced out. But if I were a Christian I'd be mighty embarrassed about the young earth crowd.

Creationists are doing a disservice to your creed. I'll happily tolerate Christians provided they remain within the boundaries of basic common sense.

God is a neurological product of the human brain just like dreams, cosnsciousness and self-awareness. Our brains evolved by natural selection to believe in God or something like God or whatever so as to give our lives meaning and structure.
