Is it just me or is India one of the most backward thinkning country on the face of this planet? First there is the Elizabeth Hurley thing...I mean come on they want her to go to jail because she didn't follow thier customs and her and her husabnd kissed in frount of everyone...BIG DEAL...what about her husband? He is the one who is from India he should be the one they are going after if anyone....personally I think the whole thing is crazy!! Then Richard Gere is over in India doing promotions and he can't speak Hindu so he shows his apperication to another actress by kissing her hand and cheek. You would have thouhgt he raped her because the people of India were calling for his DEATH!!! Can you believe that!! They were buring his posters and stuff for that! And here is the icing on the cake...India has the HIGHEST percentage of AIDS cases in the world!!! UMMM...I think they have more to worry about than kissing!
So what do you all think? Does this make sense to you or am I wrong?

My friends and I were thinking about taking the 4 day mexico cruise. But I heard mixed reviews about it. Some say its just a bunch of old people. Does anyone reccomend a cruise line for the younger crowd? More of a party boat?

My fiance and I bought a house in October. There are huge bushes (approximately 12 feet high, 4 feet wide, and 10 feet long) separating our house from our neighbors'. Now that the weather is nice, we'd like to cut it down, or at least trim it down immensely. We hear birds in the bushes constantly, and we don't want to endanger them or their nests (we assume there are nests in the bushes), if we do cut it down. Is there any way to avoid this or to get the birds out of the bushes without waiting until the fall when the baby birds have left the nest?

Well here's the thing, I've posted before about my wife leaving and going back to her home state, and how she and her mother think I should have to pay to send all of her things to her. Here's my question, am I allowed to like rent a storage thing for a month, send her the key and tell her she's got until the end of the month to get her things? Her and her mother in law say it's my problem and that I should pay to send her things when it was her decision to leave our marriage. And to be honest, I don't want her up in the house because she's becoming crazy like her mom.

I cannot understand how gun control would have altered this situation at ALL!

If guns were 100% illegal in this country, this guy would have either gone underground to buy a gun, or simply used a bomb, right? After all, drugs are illegal in this country, and those are not impossible to get, so illegal guns would not be impossible to buy, either.

If we enact any other gun control measures in this country (no guns for felons, mentally unstable people, etc.), what would say that this guy could still have bought a gun? He may have never purchased a gun in his life, his mind might have been completely normal (at least, as far as a test was concerned)

So how could gun control have changed the situation? The only way I can see is that the anti-gun law on college campuses prevented a student from packing heat during the incident and putting a stop to the whole thing.

Can someone please explain how gun control would have prevented this???

automatic weapons make it a heck of a lot easier?

Seriously, if you are stabbing someone with a knife, or beating them to death, the violence is right there in your face. How much damage could one psychopath do?

Is large scale violence (like that of today) just a consequence of the separation from violence that guns can give someone?

It's like a video game. They shoot someone, they may see little blood and just fall to the floor. It must be easier for these shooters to make no real connection to the suffering.
