I have a very bad back and will have to have back surgery but need to lose some weight first. My surgeon says that my back is too unstable for any exercise so how am I supposed to lose weight just by dieting alone?????

for 1 month 15 days. my real brother came to live with me and stole my checks, forged my name and stole $17,000 from my checking account. oh, and i was in acoma for 1 month 15 days. i was banking with BofA. i filed the charges against him, with the bank, they dropped them saying,"i took too long." i have all the canceled checks prooving that i didnt write them, whi knows," what can i do about it?" thank you

I have titration curve Weak acid x Strong Base
Oxalic acid! x NaOH
acid conc = 0.100 mol dm-3
base conc = 0.101 mol dm-3
Th alkali was added to the acid (25ml)
The whole titration was 40ml
1st equivalence point is at 12.3 ml (pH 2.6) the second equivalence point was at 24.6ml. (pH 8.2)
But i do not know how to find the pH of the buffer solution produced, i was told to use this formula : pH=Pka + lg [A-] / [HA]. The equation is
H2C2O4 + 2NaOH ==> Na2C2O4 + 2 H2O
how you find the pKa? because i was told that there are two, bcos there are the 2 equivalence points . But then how do you work out the buffer?
I have managed to work out the pH of other buffer solutions produced, e.g, KHP x NaOH
But this one is a lot more challenging ad i keep onfusing myself

Do you find the pKa, by using the half equivalence point, if so would you use both to work out the pH of the buffer?
=S How is the buffer calculated ?

What do you make of this?My daughter,16,has for the last few months been telling me she hears someone walking across the landing late at night & stopping outside my door.She said she hears nothing after that.On some occasions she has heard them actually walk up the stairs,across the landing & stand there.I asked her how she knows they are outside MY DOOR & NOT HERS-as my room is next to hers-she said she has seen the shadow & can see where they are stood.I am an extremely light sleeper-anything can wake me-yet i`ve heard nothing.Many times this has happened.At first i thought she might be asleep or imagining it-all the usual stuff-but now my son,15,has told me he has heard it too. His room is sort of in the middle of the landing,& he said a few times he`s heard someone walk upstairs,walk across the landing,& then stop near my door somewhere.He hears nothing after that.He said he doesn`t tell me when it happens-next day whatever-coz he doesn`t want to scare me.I don`t feel scared-but...

Many atheists say as long as they live good moral lives in this life, if they do meet God, it will all be good. Well I heard this great example, say God owns a company that specializes in good deeds. You tell God that you do not want to be a part of His company, but you perform the same service as His company. When you retire will you be given benefits from a company you did not work for, probably not.

That being said, I do not know if God would let someone who only "believed" in Him, because he liked the odds, have a part in heaven. Then again it is all up to God in the end.

He is 25 and an alcoholic and is prone to unpredictable and violent outbursts. He lives with my mom and last night he flipped out at about 3am because she wouldn't give him cider. He beat her up and smashed up the house (and there is a 1 year old baby, my sister's living there too although he didn't go near her). I called the police and my sister warned him that they were coming and he headbutted her and ran away. The police came and found him but my mom doesn't know what to do as she is scared of what would happen to him if he went to prison, and he has nowhere to go if she kicked him out of home. My dad passed away a year ago. My brother went to rehab once but drank while he was there and after 3 weeks they said his treatment was finished, there was no follow up and the social worker doesn't want to know, she said "what can I do about it?". He was meant to go to counselling but he said it was no good and stopped going. He doesn't work, just sponges or steals money from my mom

I'm really confused!! I am pregnant with my second child - I know what actual contractions feel like as I have a 2 year old. But all today I have been noticing my stomach getting really tight - almost like tensing up... It doesn't really hurt or anything so I cannot figure out what it is... has anyone ever had this? Please let me know your experiences!!
Ps: i am already dialated a little. (1 cm)

I have a wooden pine table that has been painted blue, and now a country red. I would like to spray paint it black now, but I am thinking this is probably too many layers of paint. Would it be better if I sanded (tons of work!) it, or is there something I can put on it to help scrape the paint off? Thanks in advance! for for the tips.

...never take anyone or anything for granted! Tell them what you feel and be sincerre. DOnt be in a rush and say "I Love You" like it is mandatory. Stop and make eye contact and mean what you say. Am I too young to have breast cancer?
The past two generations of my family (males & females) have died from cancer. I am 25 years old, last week I found what seems tobe a lump in my breast. I'm not even sure what would be considered a "lump" medically speaking. It is on the outer part of my breast, closer to my armpit. It feels like a small pebble in the tissue, but not in my skin. It isn't painful, but I definately panicked when I found it. Could it be cancer?
