i just saw a tv commercial where a man was trying to help his daughter with her homework over the computer and the mother walks in and asks him why he hasn't washed the dog yet, he tells her that he is helping his daughter with her homework and the women replies "jack, leave her alone" and his daughter gives her father a look of contempt. then the mother says "go wash the dog" or something like that.

i am very offended by that commercial and NO that is not funny. that's the most vulgar form of sexism i've ever seen.

could you imagine a commercial where a father tells his wife to leave her son alone and to go iron his shirt?

and don't give me that "men always did that on tv" crap either. i've never in my life seen a commerical or tv show where a man is openly nasty to his wife and deliberately makes her look like a fool in front of her children and it's supposed to be funny.

you can make all the excuses you want, but that is just downright wrong!!! why do we allow it?

It can be anything, like that they have to commute back and forth between two homes, which can get tiresome. "Quick, eat your big Thanksgiving dinner so you can go to your Dad's for the rest of the day and eat ANOTHER big Thanksgiving meal!"

Not with regards to whether they were in Iranian waters or not, but with their treatment.

I mean, lets say you folded like a pack of cards (like they did), surely upon your arrival back in the UK you may be tempted to 'embellish' the things you had to endure to make it sound more reasonable about the sort of torture you went through before you 'sang like a canary'

Im not saying they didnt go through some bad stuff, but it was hardly hanging by your fingernails stuff, and when you consider that you know any trauma they went through they would have 'added to it'. it doesnt exactly sound like they had been the bravest of sailors.

And to top it off the female of the group is going to be over £100,000 richer. Nice little earner for her isnt it.

Well done lady. We need more 'brave' people like you.

Honestly these sailors make me sick, and thank god I cant get thumbs down on this question, because I know lots of you would be defending them even though they didnt show an ounce of bravery

I just had a baby, she is six weeks old and was born here in Texas. I would like to move from Texas to Utah. Her father came to the hospital to see her but did not sign the acknowledgement of paternity paper or the birth certificate. He started out having something to do with her but has since stopped calling and won't answer my phone calls.

My question is can I move from Texas to Utah? Is there anything legally he can do to stop us from moving? I have a better support system there and will also continue college. Do I have to wait until I live in Utah for 6 months (interstate family law?) in order to file the paperwork to establish paternity and then move on to child support, custody, and visitation? Please help!

Ok this girl and me have ben really close friends for awhile.. friday night we were flirting and then finally we went up to my room and just cuddled and made out. The next day she asked me to go out to eat with her.. we did and then we went to pickup one of her friends and she kept talking about her ex.. and then later that night pulled out her camera and started crying.. then when she was taking me to my car that night i was just giving her my input and what she would do and shes like i love your advice will you come over? i was like of course. then we got there and she just layed against me and stared at me with this grin on her face and she even said something like "wow you remind me of him so much its scary" then like just hits me but in a joking way.. i dont know what any of this means like is she using me for a bridge to get over him? or what

Yesterday's loss was very embarrassing for Saffas everywhere! It was a match that SA should have easily won, in fact the scores should have been reversed. After the match-fixing scandal involving Hansie Cronje and Hershelle Gibbs in 2000 and the fact that Gibbs is still in the team, I find it hard to believe it will never happen again!
I know some people on here will say just accept it they were outplayed but I can't helping thinking that it was fixed because: 1. Smith has continuously chosen to bowl first, hence, SA has been always had to chase runs, and 2. the lacklustre SA batting performance left them looking like they didn't care about winning!

Either the SA cricket has given up all hope of doing well in the world cup or they took the risk of fixing that match was in the hope that they can still get through to the semi-finals even with two loses! What do you think?
