In my home, yes if I'm planning on returning after dark, no if I'm returning in the day time or several days later.
My head, the light are never on.

Yes, I always leave at least one light on when I am not at home also the radio stays on. Only to prevent burglary but I think they are on to this so I might have to stop.

No. I think the burglars are on to that, "put the lights on so people will think somebody's home" trick.
