In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus says:

"And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

Thus, according to Jesus, if believers drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all.

This would be a good way for Christians to convince doubters to accept Jesus. They could win a lot of converts by demonstrating their immunity to the deadly poison. Why don't they do so?

My little brother (5 yrs old) is a PAIN (as you can see from some of my other questions).

I have to babysit him and his friend (also 5) right now. They got out baseball bats and started beating me with them and pretending I'm some sort of bad guy and they're "trying to stop me"

So I called my parents and they got in trouble. They (my brother & his friend) then got mad and now are destroying the house (smashed the doors to the china cabinet, knocked over a lamp, put a hole in the wall, and tried to break a window). My parents don't believe me and I know I'm going to be in serious trouble.

What should I do?!?!?!?!?!

THE ERROR CODE IS 7" microsoft website says the solution is the reset the bios to default or the cause maybe faulty ram, tried both,, still having same error. I'm going to be a missionary and I was checking out the countries I could go to and found out about "Limited Access" or "Creative Access" countries. I found that in order to get into these countries you have to have a degree in either education or medical.

Does anyone know more about this?

well i went to this camp and i go every year, last year i met this guy and we spent the whole week together were like joined at the hip... it was a christian camp so we grew closer to God together, we even went to the end of the week banquet together, we talked so much about anything he seemed to like me so much, he was popular and so was i, he wasn't scared to put his arm aroung me or anything but he was a tad shy around me, well we left camp and before we left he kept promising to call me over and over. well lets just say that that was in june and it is april and still no call, its almost time again for camp again and he'll be their. Why didn't he call me? Should i talk to him when i go back? Im like already nervous about it! help

I frist read the first book about this family that was real poor and the oldest son had to work or steal food for his family. They were taken out of the home and put on a train him and his brothers and sisters the train would stop and for people to pick kids to adopt. It would keep makeing stops till all the kids were taken in homes There were two of three other books showing how each of them were donig they were split in to three groups I think. I getting hard for me to remember.

Having spent this week watching the orangutan diaries on bbc, I really feel absolutely disgusted that over 10 million acres of forest have SO FAR been destroyed for Palm Oil Plantations. We have a right to know just who the owners and supporters of the palm oil industries are , then we can all make our own descisions to boycott theses people and their companies and products. FOR GODS SAKE STOP THIS INSANITY NOW.

We had a skunk that began to burrow a nest for itself right beside my house in my garden. My dad went out there to scare it off but it refused to move. It literally just layed there while my dad threw clumps of dirt around it, proded it with a 2x4, and made loud noises. I read that they usually go through a series of defenses before spraying but this one didn't spit, hiss, puff its fur or anything. It wasn't cornered at all, it had plenty of room to run away. It just didn't. Any thoughts?

I was sexually abused when i was little by one of my neighbors. She was a few years older than me, we'd play "house" but she took it too far.

Now I'm in high school and am trying to be a normal teenager. I am having problems being in relationships. I want to do what everyone else my age does but I'm constantly pushing every guy I like away. Almost everyone I know thinks I'm a tease and calls me prude, but its not that I dont want to do anything its that I'm scared and cant help but think about that horrifying experience when i was little.

I dont know how to handle this and change things. I want to stop pushing away every guy i have feelings for. They always get confused when i tell them how i feel but wont even kiss them or anything else, even when i told them i want to.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Serious problem I’m having, I recently told my mother that I intend to date only women. And she keep pursuing me to talk to guys. She even goes so far as to give some of the my phone number. What can I do to stop this? I feel like she’s disrespecting me. Its starting to cause a strain on our relationship, because now when I go around her. I’m pretty distant. What should I do? Its like she’s never going to accept me for who I am. I am an only child and my girlfriend tells me this is why she’s doing this. Not really sure about that. Any help would be appreciated.

I am a high school student and I have been told before I am beautyful but i beleave I am just average. I have had bad relationships in the past and I am tired of looking for someone who only wants me for a gf so he can tell his friends he has one. Is there something wrong with me? While in college I was a religion major. There was a great deal of study in many different religions as well as thoughts that were not religious at all.

My question is ..... When you read the holy book (which ever one you choose) how do you get it's meaning for your person in this day and time?

Most holy books were written hundreds, if not thousands of years ago, to people who did not think as we do today. How do you translate the meaning they must have gleaned into today's meanings? ...... Or .... is that even possible?
