I'm going to be a missionary and I was checking out the countries I could go to and found out about "Limited Access" or "Creative Access" countries. I found that in order to get into these countries you have to have a degree in either education or medical.

Does anyone know more about this?

(Please no dumb atheist answers)

Yes. Many countries will only accept people that can benefit them in some way. They want teachers and doctors.

You can visit many countries as a tourist and go on a mission trip. Places like India will not let you into their country unless you say you are just a tourist. They do not want Christianity pushed from missionaries.

If you want to join a group you may want to go to this website.

Petina,

Here is the website of “World Harvest Mission” that offers both short term and long term missionary opportunities.

I have friends who are missionaries in those types of countries. They teach English and pray/wait for opportunities to arise for sharing their faith. The opportunities have arisen, most of their students are curious about the US, and in some cases it eventually translates to curiosity about Christianity. In these cases they share their faith in an almost casual manner. The approach has borne fruit.

Because your job as a missionary is to give medical aid to people, not to shove your personal faith onto them. Sorry to be so blunt but that is what these Christian missionaries should be doing...helping people, not converting them!!
