Satan wants to lure you from Christ not take you to him.
Yeah Satan's really gonna trick you with a book where he's the bad guy.

Well, not me. Not some people. But YES he is smarter than most. Those that do not think for themselves....those that do not understand or refuse to see the history of the church (the pope, how the bible came about). Lots in the bible on false prophets and how to determine if one is a false prophets. But most Christians don't read the bible, they let someone else do it for them. Sad, very sad. Sad they couldn't see Mr. Bush as a liar. Sad they cant see Mr Farwell, Pat Robertson and his TBS group and so many others as false Prophets. Satan hasn't tricked anybody...they follow the lies because they are lazy, ignorant pew warmers with no guts in their faith

Can satan be present without God? Yes he could trick you, probably very easily, but if you acknowledge that then you must ackowledge God.

He's tricky, but I wouldn't call him smarter than me. He didn't want to follow God's order, and I do. With that in mind, I have to think I'm smarter than him. :P
