Help!!!! getting following error when installing XP-PRO.. "FILE I386/NTKRNLMP.EXE COULD NOT BE LOADED?

THE ERROR CODE IS 7" microsoft website says the solution is the reset the bios to default or the cause maybe faulty ram, tried both,, still having same error. My computer is AMD Athalon acer e360, Searching the web under this error messages shows up 1000s of ppl having similar probme, Acer Tech Support is useless as usua. PLEASEEEE SOMEONE HELP

That's the MP (multi processor) NT Kernal.

Do you have one of the processors disabled in bios by any chance? That would do it.

Call Microsoft on this, it sounds like their problem.
