First let me say, I love Yahoo Answers-- especially the Parenting & Baby sections.

I am becoming a little annoyed w/ people pushing their views on others.

Examples:
Spanking vs. Non spanking
Breastfeeding vs. Bottlefeeding
Staying @ Home vs. Working
Original Baby names vs. Common Baby Names

People fail to realize that people have different cultures, beliefs, interests, values, decisions, etc....
In the end we all have one common goal-- to do what's best for OUR family & to raise our children to the best of our ability.

People on Yahoo answers need to respect the decisions of others. Your "way" may not be what a parent decides to do w/ THEIR child. The last time I checked this was a free world.....

About 2 weeks ago or so I was sick with what I thought was the cold or the flu, now I have it again. It's been fairly warm where I live. I haven't changed in anything I do except I take a multi vitamin everyday now. I never had allergies before but I've been sneezing a lot, my eyes are watery, my nose is running(I know I know), and my nose is stuffy, and I feel weak. I get chills. Any suggetions to this? I take benadyrl and all it does is make me sleepy. Please son't say go to a doctor-no insurance.

to be a waitress/server? Do you think certain people fit the job and others don't. What qualities, personality traits, etc do good waitress tend to have?

Don't answer w/ the ability to be good server? Or about how they perform on the job, I'm purely talking about the internal qualities a person needs or has as a server.

A train moves at less than one mph and yet passes dozens of people-
sometimes hundreds-
in less than two minutes.
When it stops, it picks up no passengers and the person that stops the train is not even on it.
In fact, there is no one on the train.
After the train stops, it returns in the direction it came, but goes much faster.
Explain.



If this is too hard, when was your last train ride?

Well, let's say you used to workout a long time ago but then you stopped. And then like a few years later, you start to workout again. Can muscle become weaker if you don't work em out overtime? Is there some kind of disease that makes them weaker or is it just your body?

Last July, I had an accident on the freeway. Freeway traffic stopped, as did I, and I was struck by the driver behind me hard enough to stamp a toyota logo into my bumper, and push me a carlength into the next car in front.. I went to the hospital for back pain, and neck pain, followed by a doctor visit a month later. I have not been able to get back to a doctor since, due to my work schedule, and a job change.
Now, the insurance company of the rear driver wants to settle. They claim they are offering me the $1600 to cover lost work wage, hospital bills and copays, and like only 300 or 400 of it covers pain and suffering.
I personally dont think this is enough. I still have back pain to this day, lingering though it may be. Also, I had the car for only like a month before this happened, and am nowhere near paying it off. They didn't total it, and sent it to a AAA repair facility. I'm sure that if I traded it in, I'd be screwed on the trade-in or even sale of the car...

My "best-friend" always has to point out what I'm doing wrong in any stressful situation. Sometimes I just need her to listen and not play devil's advocate all the time. She's always been this way. Sometimes I totally disagree w/ what she's "advising" me to do but I keep my mouth shut to avoid conflict. I stood up to her today and she thought I was angry when I just asked her to listen instead of giving advice. Is this friendship doomed?

Our 10 year old stray fixed female dog is scratching with her back feet on her stomach to the irritating point. After we talk to her, she stops and goes over to infernal licking.
We cannot see anything wrong with skin, no bugs, no animals, nothing.
If we put some olive oil, it seems to cool her down for a while.
This usually happens every year at this time, and finally it will all stop, but I feel so sorry for her now that she is at this stage.
Any idea what this can be or be caused of, and is there anything else we could do for her (last year we went to the Vet and he told us to bath her, which we did and everything just seemed to be worse....)
