The first post proved a point. No matter what happens libs are going to ***** and whine. This article comes form the ultra liberal Atlanta Constitution by the way.

The post about the media panders to the uneducated hits the nail on the head. The only reason newspaper are still in business is because libs can't think for themselves. They need someone to tell them what to do and how to react to various news storys. If it hints at good news try and spin it so maybe it a least won't look so good...

They won't because this is good news. The media panders to the seriously uneducated and refuses to put out anything good.... it's bad for ratings.

Watch any foriegn news (BBC is the most accessible) and they cover the whole planet good and bad. American TV suggests all is bad in Iraq which is not true.

This is a shame because if more americans realized what was really going on things might be different. So until then we have to listen to the "Bush is bad" on the net and TV. Next year it will be someone else is bad.

Thank goodness people who run the country are not so stupid.

Did you read this part of that article?
Economists predict the economy will remain in a sluggish spell in the months ahead. For the recently ended January-to-March quarter, some analysts are predicting growth will clock in at close to 2 percent, which would represent a further slowing from the 2.5 percent growth rate logged in the final three months of last year.

As the economy slows, the unemployment rate also is expected to creep up, reaching close to 5 percent by the end of the year.

Sounds like you been drinking the kool-aid from Hannity and Rush. What do those jobs pay is the question that needs to be asked? Do they require a college degree? Or are most of them wal mart/retail, service industry hotel type of jobs that pay 8.00 an hour and offer no benefits. Let's not forget the housing market subprime loan meltdown that could possibly happen later on this yr.

I love the guy who thinks that at this stage of the interest rate cycle 5% unemployment would be bad - - - it's not just that 4.4% is good, it's amazing.
