P.S. The Geneva convention does not apply to the prisoners at Gitmo, but the U.S. has kindly extended them those rights.

They were held on no basis, and yet the libs didn't say a thing. They were blindfolded and shown on TV-against the Geneva convention that libs say bush ignored, and yet they weren't there. How about threatening them all and telling them they would be shot if they don't read "xxxx". This is absurd, and now we have the Madam Speaker doing her thing. I guess being blinfolded and placed up against a wall and hearing the sounds of weapons is not psychological torture to some. I have not been in the penal system and was unaware this was standard practice.

What happened at Abu Ghraib? What is happening at Gitmo?
It is wrong for any torture to take place. But when we Americans ignore the Geneva Conventions, it wasn't going to take long for other countries to follow suit.
Difference is that Iran let the world know who it was holding and did not physically harm the sailors. Unfortunately, we aren't as respectful.
