Actually it's really funny that you say that. Just less than 10 years ago the FCC would have sensored words that we don't even think about now.A little while back and they would have ever been said on tv. So 10 years ago, (If following your theory) some words that you think are ok now you would have considered swears. Same thing in two years. A word that you think is bad now they may eventually just not sensor so then you will change your mind and think that it is ok. I think that you need to get a backbone and not be influenced by television. Decide what words are bad for your self or atleast a source that doesn't change every ten years.

Just like a rose is a rose is a rose. So are swear words. The FCC doesn't have control of what word is considered one or not. It's society. Milder swear words are allowed on TV more these days but because they are allowed doesn't mean they are good words for everyday conversation. They should be used seldom for effect. Not just to be saying them.

Not at all
Janet Jackson still has a rack even though you can't show breasts on T.V.
South Park said S--- on T.V. over a hundred times but It's still a swear. They just paid the fines or something, or had their sponsors cover the bill.
Is the word "ninja" a swear? Because until a few years ago you couldn't say that in England on T.V. They watched Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, no joke.

No, I don't agree. Filth is filth regardless of what the FCC allows. You can hear almost any word on the air nowadays. I don't use the FCC as a barometer of morality.

A swear word is such a subjective term. It could mean many different things to many different people. Sounds like you found your meaning. Others might disagree. In other words, calling something a swear word is just an opinion not a fact.

Technically yes; I find it strange that a Knee-jerk regulatory Body does this... especially with some of the More Well known "Penalties" for saying or doing something "Naughty"; And these people want to Control cable as Well ???

The FCC isn't the judge of what cuss words are or aren't.

No, I do not agree. Murder is shown on TV, it gets by the censors, does that make it okay? A little extreme, but you get the idea.

definitely not, The FCC is stupid. There are words that I do not want my children repeating and I hear such unapproved words on TV.
