i wont list the branches of philosophy and i wont go into details. but from what i have studied is that there are realy only two things that philosophy consists of.

1) determining whether reality is actualy there (skepticism)

which is basicaly shown that it is self refuting and has many flaws to the theory.

2) assuming that it is, you base opinions of what the true nature of reality is and base opinions and theories on all the different aspects of life and reality.

Before the war in Iraq there was a large movement in Iran for a Democractic form of government, and the hardliners were afraid of losing their power. When the US invaded Iraq, the hardliners were to able put fear in their people that American would do the same to them, their people then supported the hardliners. They are now further ruled by fear as everyone threatens to invade them, so they select the hardliners. Is US policy hurting Irans chance of becoming Democratic?

Someone look this up, I don't have a bible on me

"If men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman’s husband may demand of him, and he shall pay as the judges decide. 23 But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise." Ex. 21:22-25

Is this true?

Should be interesting on how some of you interpret these writings.

Untitled

As we creep into darkness, we’re unable to run
For all light has faded along with the sun

Deeper we crawl, until we can no longer take
The heart’s incessant spasms and ache

Our senses are rendered useless, we are on our own
And we tremble at the thought of being alone

Our bodies are frozen, instilled with recurring fear
We try to cry out, but we can’t shed a tear

Our lungs become polluted, we are no longer breathing
But we feel no pain having lost all feeling

Reffering to denial, pointing the blame
And so our vision is denied by shadows and shame

Our eyes are blindfolded, we aren’t able to see
What exactly we have traded for our humanity

I believe the Catholic Church is the Church of Revelations17. She is the whore of Babylon. Babylon always was known as Rome. Her character, location and world wide reach has identified her with Rome. She has changed the Bibical Sabbath from Saturday to Sunda y and most of the Christian World has followed her lead. They have wondered after the beast. She has Killed millions of Christians over the centuries. She has wiped out three people groups from the face of the Earth. The Mark of the beast is the acceptance of observing Sunday as the Sabbath. That is the Mark of her Authority. The Mark of the beast is NOT literal. It is the acceptance of this Church's authority to change laws without the support of Scripture. The truth is that many are deceived. But they do not know that they are deceived. Jesus said, "Many are called but FEW are chosen." That is a sad fact but way too true.

First of all I have broken up with this guy just once..and I second thought myself.so when he made an effort for me to take him.I took him back. Then few months later he broke up with me saying that he was "confused, wants to see what's out there." Then when it was my turn to come to him, he didn't want me back. Then winter break past, we got back together, I don't know why I even gave him another chance but I did. and because he said he does not want to be with other people. and doesn't see himself with others than me.(since I am very non-judgemental, very accepting, learned to love him) Then few months later, which was few days ago, he broke up with me the second time, this time giving me bunch of reasons, which I did not understand. saying that "[I] am not the right one and [he] is not the right one" also "[he wants] to move on ASAP, and that is what [he wants] to do" in my face. What kind of a person would do that?

Para sa akin ay wala ng iba
Na mamahalin kahit na nga kailanman
Di ko kailangan ng ibang pagsinta
Sa pag-ibig mo'y tunay na ligaya.

* para sa akin ay laging ikaw lang
ang s'yang iibigin hanggang sa kailanman
mundo ko'y hihinto
sadyang maglalaho, kung iiwanan. *

** para sa 'kin ay ikaw
ikaw ang siyang tanglaw
ikaw and siyang lahat
palagi ay ikaw
di ko kayang sa aki'y wala ka
sa 'king puso, ikaw lang .... **

being spiritual and being religious? In your opinion which is healthier for mankind in the long run. This question is open to all but please do me a favor. Do NOT quote me Bible passages. I was a christian for 30yrs and attended private christian schools for three. I probably know as much as many of you do on how to use the bible to justify any answer I would give to anyone. I want to know what YOU have to say. Why YOU think one is healthier than the other. I don't want some biblical theology about it.
