It's not simple! There are too many varied interests, mostly conflicting that can't even be solved. Too many nations are engaged in cultural or religious struggles within their own borders. There are 41 major conflicts worldwide now. Mass genocide, starvation, political upheavels, revolutions are all a part of the real world we live in. It would take a very powerful dictator to bring all the nations together to form a one-world government. That won't happen in the foreseeable future. It's just not very realistic.

Only when the world has a common enemy will this come to pass !! And, it will come to pass !! There will be a terrible day for earth one day soon and from that day-- the world will have a common enemy-- and the prospects of the world NOT banding into one unified entity will desolve in an instant !!
Tens of thousands of people-- the world over will disappear and be "taken"--- when this happens -- it will be instantly seen as an act of war !! And, for the very first time in human history -- the stockpiles of weaponry that for decades have seemed to be an albatross around the collective necks of the world--- will be seen as the world's savior--- but even this will not give Earth protection from the end results of its sins !!!!

Because no country wants to give up its sovereignty. If you have a house, would you like to give it up for the benefit and use of the entire neighborhood or community? And still pay the bills? Also as many other responses suggest, nationality or cultural identity might prevent that from happening.

It'd be very difficult to create wars and make money for the politicians. There are well over 1000 politicians just in the US, most of them are millionaires and still very greedy. Oh yeah, and the cultural differences along with religion must be considered.

Yes. You should watch the news. People have been fighting centuries just because their religions are different. You should go to a family reunion or two. People do not necessarialy get along, some people want to control others, and all the different politicians want their pay and power.

Great question - but history never allowed for its reality. Sadly war has always been a part of every country and ethnicity, and man will never change without supreme intervention. If one believes in faith and creationism. For non-believers its seen as evolution of nature, like the dinosaurs and man-apes.
Ahh whatevers!

I do not challenge the dedication and sincerity of those who disagree with the freedom philosophy and confidently promote government solutions for all our ills. I am just absolutely convinced that the best formula for giving us peace and preserving the American way of life is freedom, limited government, and minding our own business overseas.
